Hello everyone and welcome to my newest fanfic (ok, technically it's a reboot, but still, newest one I'm starting, er, restarting I guess. Oh hell with it!) Kingdom Hearts III!

Ok, so for those who are not in the know, here's what's going on...

Originally, I had started writing my version of Kingdom Hearts III a while back, however, I was slacking with updating it due to me focusing on another story that I was much farther ahead in. Not only that, but with new information on the game being released, as well as realizing some info that I had messed up with in the beginning, I realized that my version of what KH III was going to be was slowly starting to shift around. So much so, that it was going to be impossible for me to continue the story. But, because I'm in the middle of working on KH III vids for my YouTube channel, I started writing up a new outline for the story. Which brings me to now...

Now, I've decided that I'm far enough with writing it, that I should re-write my original story to fit this new outline, as well as shift around my previous thoughts as they still hold some relevance. So, if you happen to notice some scenes or dialogue from the previous story, you'll know what's going on.

Ok, now with that mumbo jumbo out of the way, time to lay down what's going on in this fanfic...

With it being a fanfic based off of a game, I'm going to try my very hardest to make it feel as close to the game as possible, including boss battles, music cues, and other miscellaneous stuff. Also, seeing as how it is a continuation of previous games, the following story will contain MAJOR spoilers from past games, so if you haven't played any of the previous games, I'd advise you to leave, go play the games, come back, and read this story. Plus if not for anything, you do get to play a series of awesome games for the hell of it! ;)

So, with that out of the way, let's begin with our traditional CG opening, now in all of it's PS4 glory! (Back off XBOX One! Sony had KH first!) So everyone, sit back, relax, and enjoy the concluding chapter of the Xehanort saga...

OPENING

The water washed upon the sand, its waves creating gentle sounds through the night sky.

The wind gently began to pick up, as the waves became rougher and the sand began to fly everywhere.

KINGDOM HEARTS III

The moon light glazes off the papou tree, as the sea sits calm and peacefully. A silhouetted face appears in the stars.

Have you heard of the ancient Keyblade War?

Many years ago, Keyblade wielders started a war over the ownership of light.

Another silhouetted face appears beside it.

Yep, the Master loves telling that story.

Then I take it you also know of the "lost masters"?

Nope, where'd you hear that?

"On that land shall darkness prevail and light expire."

The moonlight fades away, until everything is covered in darkness.

But you knew that,

didn't you?

Sora wakes up on Destiny Islands in shock, looking around to see the world covered in darkness. He then looks up to see a large black orb floating above the island. Sora then feels himself being pulled up toward it. He tries to cling to the dock, but the force is too strong as his fingers slip and he is finally sucked into the black hole.

Sora closes his eyes tightly, hoping for everything to stop. And suddenly, everything does as he soon as he opens his eyes. He looks around to figure out where he is, as it is revealed to be the second district of Traverse Town. As Sora continues to wearily look around, swarms of shadow heartless begin to surround him. Sora begins stepping backwards, not sure what to do. As he continues to look on in confusion, he suddenly summons something in his hand. He looks down to see what it is, as he gazes upon his iconic Kingdom Key keyblade. With this weapon in his hand, Sora charges into the swarm, now fighting through the heartless with ease.

We suddenly then cut to Sora, now aided by Donald Duck and Goofy, as they are now fighting through the heartless in the hallways of Hollow Bastion. They continue to press on until they reach Riku/Ansem at the key hole. Sora immediately sees his rival, as he leapfrogs over the large body heartless onto the platform across from Riku/Ansem. Sora then charges at his friend, leaping into the air as he attacks Riku/Ansem. However, Riku/Ansem blocks the attack, swinging his own keyblade of people's hearts, as the two are locked in combat, all while Sora is still in the air in front of him. Suddenly, Riku/Ansem knocks Sora's keyblade away long enough for Riku/Ansem to stab Sora with his keyblade. Upon the fatal attack, Sora the disintegrates into light, as Riku/Ansem's keyblade evaporates into light as well, releasing the hearts of the princesses of heart.

As the hearts fly around the room, we cut to Sora, who is now falling through what looks like the realm of darkness. He then begins to slow down as he gently lands his feet on the bottom. As soon as Sora lands, however, his surroundings around him suddenly turn in a room with white walls. Sora, now wielding his keyblade, looks around confused, until he looks to a door in front of him. There, he sees a dark corridor open, and from the corridor, emerges Axel. Axel, with his smug grin, holds out his hand for Sora to take, which Sora hesitantly decides on. Then, coming to a decision, calmly walks up to Axel, and takes his hand in his own. As Sora does this, his body slowly begins to disintegrate into another person in a black coat. Then, Sora finally disappears, and in his place, holding Axels hand, is Roxas.

The two smile at each other, playfully laughing, until they decide to walk through the door. As soon as they do however, they end up in Twilight Town, where Xion appears, pointing her keyblade at a confused Roxas. Roxas, seeing no end to this, summons his keyblade and blocks the attack Xion, who gives him a sad but meaning full smile before she begins to disintegrate into light in front of Roxas. While doing so, Xion hands her keyblade to Roxas, transforming both his and hers' keyblades into Oblivion and Oathkeeper, respectively. Roxas, overtaken with grieve, suddenly becomes very angry, pulling his hood over his face, and charges toward Memory's Skyscraper, now appearing in The World That Never Was. As Roxas runs up the side of the building, Riku, who is looking down at Roxas, jumps from the top of the building, plummeting toward the ground. Roxas, seeing his opponent jump, throws his Oblivion keyblade at Riku, who grabs the keyblade on his way down. The two then come face to face at the middle of the building, as Riku continues falling to the ground, while Roxas continues up the building, eventually disappearing at the top.

As he reaches the ground, Riku sheds his Organization XIII coat, revealing his attire underneath, as he looks up to see Sora, now sporting new clothes (A/N: his KH II attire), and King Mickey. However, the group have no time for meet and greet, as the three then proceed to draw their respective keyblades, and point them at Xemnas, appearing in his black and white final form.

As they stare down their opponent, Xemnas simply smiles wickedly as twelve other figures in Organization XIII coats appear with their hoods on covering their faces. They begin to form a line in front of the group, until the final figure emerges from the darkness, not wearing a black coat. He then stopped in front of his army as he looked on at his opponents with his glowing yellow eyes. Then with a sinister smile, Master Xehanort then proceeded to summon his keyblade, still standing calmly amongst his seekers of darkness.

Sora, looking on at the army in front of him with fear, notices a hand set on his shoulder, as he looks to see Terra walk in front of him, his Ends of the Earth keyblade gripped in his hand. Following Terra, Ventus proceeds to appear beside Riku, while Aqua next to Mickey. Sora then turns his attention back to Xehanort, as now Lea, Roxas, Donald and Goofy appear within the group, standing ready to fight. On both sides' orders, the two sides begin charging at each other across the deserted Keyblade Graveyard. As the two sides come close to engaging battle, Sora leaps at Xehanort as the two clash blades and a bright light effulges the battleground.

(End Fight the Blues)

The white light stays bright for long periods of time as the scene fade to…

The pillars of where nothing gathers stood tall as six dark figures sat in their according chairs. In the top chair, Master Xehanort looked down at his followers, with his sinister grin plastered across his face.

"You all know the task ahead of you." He said in his raspy, yet elegant voice, "If we are to once again forge the X-blade." He clenched his fist in delight at the name of his prize as his followers nodded accordingly. Sitting back in his chair, Xehanort continued on.

"Good. Very good." He stated, "Then you know what must be done." Then, just as quickly, Xehanort sprung forward in his chair, a glare in his eye as he proudly exclaimed "We must seek out the princesses of heart!"

(Apprehension ~ KH2)

Belle and Prince Adam ran for the gates of the castle, trying to outrun the heartless swarm chasing them down the bridge. Belle looked on in delight as she saw a gummi ship float down to the bridge, as the two make their way toward it. The side of the ship opened up as Aurora and Cinderella appeared in the door.

"Hurry!" Cinderella called.

"They're right behind you!" Aurora also shouted.

Quickly, Adam whisked Belle off her feet and helped her into the gummi ship, as she safely sat down beside her fellow princesses of heart. "But wait! What about-" Belle tried to rebuttal for her loved one, only for him to shake his head no. He then turned to the other princesses, nodding, as they too nodded back to him.

"Get us out of here! Please!" Aurora called to the pilot, who started to take off. As the ship began to rise, Adam turned away, facing the swarm, as it began to pile on top of him. Belle watched in horror as her love was being overtaken by the darkness. Until she heard a familiar cry...

"GET OUT OF MY CASTLE NOW!"

Suddenly, the swarm burst like a balloon, shadow heartless flying everywhere, eventually dissipating away, as from the dark pile, emerged a figure Belle had not seen in such a long time.

For there stood The Beast.

Roaring at the top of his lungs, Beast charged forward into the next oncoming swarm, now consisting of Neo-Shadows and Invisibles. He slashed his way through the dark clouds he left behind, still growling and snarling like the animal he was.

As her husband continued to wreak havoc amongst their attackers in his beastly appearance, Belle sat in the gummi ship, beginning to shed tears, knowing the fate she will no doubt have to face very soon. Quickly, the two other princesses came to her side, comforting her, as the ship escaped the world's border and flew off into the lanes between.

And that my friends, is only the beginning!

So, I'm not sure how often I'll be updating this story, but I will try my hardest to do so as soon as I can. Hopefully I don't leave you guys hanging for as long as I did, for now I seem to have a good, clear route of where this story is going.
