A/N: Some thoughts I think River Song could have been thinking after "A Good Man Goes To War". Sorry it's so short. I like to think of it as "short and sweet", long enough to say what it needs to and short enough to keep your attention... I hope !

Hope you enjoy!

Right and Wrong

She hated seeing that look on his face. Disappointment, anger, betrayal. He needed her there, he thought she could help. But she couldn't, Demon's Run was not where she was supposed to be. They had to fight the battle on their own and she couldn't interfere.

She had gone when she knew the battle would be over. When Melody had been taken and Rory and Amy felt as if all hope was lost. She had to tell them all the truth. It was time. Having to tell the Doctor had made her feel sad but also relieved. He would know she was Melody, Amy and Rory's daughter but he would go away with the knowledge that she was a weapon, a weapon to destroy him.

Telling Amy and Rory had made her feel elated. She didn't have to keep on pretending she was someone she wasn't. She was Amy and Rory's baby girl, Melody Pond. When she saw the expressions on their faces, surprise, anger, love, she felt so sad for them. They wouldn't be able to watch her grow, see her first steps, hear her first word and that made her so upset. She, Melody, River, would grow up alone, with no one there to read her a bedtime story, or soothe her when the nightmares came and all that time she was being made into a weapon, a weapon she didn't want to be.

She was fed up of secrets. They ruled her life and they got in the way of everything. Wherever she was, whenever she met the Doctor, they had to sync diaries, she couldn't afford to let anything important slip and it infuriated her so much. She had been keeping this secret for so long now, she sometimes forgot the real her, who she actually was hidden behind the woman she was pretending to be.

She had less secrets to keep now though, as each secret was told, she felt as if the burden on her got a little smaller. She had two secrets right now, one, she was married to the Doctor, the other more serious. She was the one who killed the Doctor. That secret was tearing her up inside. She wanted to go back to that day and change it, rewrite it. How could she be the one responsible for killing the one she loved. It wasn't right.

A/N: How was it? Did you like it? Hate it? Any feedback would be great. I'm still new to this writing lark! :)
