Bill Weasley had been bitten by Fenrir Greyback a few days previously, leaving him scarred and almost turned into a werewolf. The likelihood of him actually being one was yet to be discovered but his family and friends were very worried about him, most of all Fleur Delacour, his wife-to-be.
Bill had just woken up for the first time since the attack, much to the joy of both Fleur and his mother, Molly Weasley, as both had been very worried about him. He had been told about what had happened and now, Fleur and Bill had been left alone to talk about it.
"I just don't see why you would want to be with something like me when you could have anyone in the world," Bill stated as he looked away from Fleur. He was adament that she should be with someone else now. He didn't think he was worthy of someone so beautiful when he was now part wild animal.
Fleur, on the other hand, disagreed entirely, "I will fight for you. I will die for you. I will sacrifce everything I have for you. What else can I give you but my entire being?" And it was true. She really would do anything for him. He meant the world to her.
"So you don't hate me for what I am?" Bill asked as his eyes looked back up at Fleur again and she took his hand in hers.
"No, of course I don't hate you Bill. I hate Fenrir Greyback for what he has done to you. Anyone who hurts you will always be an enemy of mine," she insisted before kissing him gently on the lips. "I love you, Bill. But I really hate Greyback," she spat the last word, a look of sheer anger upon her face. "He had no right to do that to you," she added.
Bill smiled slowly at her, realising that she wasn;t going to leave him no matter what, and a sudden wash of relief filled him. He loved her beyond belief and couldnt stand to lose her now, yet if that was what she wanted he would have accepted it. He was extremely glad that it wasn't what she had wanted though.
And secretly, Fleur quite liked the danger that came with werewolves. She had been rather drawn to Remus Lupin as well when she had first met him. Of course, Remus and Bill were good werewolves and that made all the difference. Fenrir was a true monster and she would never have fantasized about him. In a sense though she was almost glad that she might now be able to get an ounce of that danger through being with the man she loved rather than hunting for it elsewhere in the forms of people like Remus Lupin. One day, maybe she would actually thank Fenrir for what he had done to the man she was in love with. She would never tell Bill that but she liked to keep a few secrets back from the world and she had already decided this was to be one of them.
