This is just a little skit, about Soren and Mist trying to organize "clubs" to occupy the spare time of their fellow FE9/10 characters, as well as finding correlations.
Soren was reading a book. He was moderately enjoying it, until Mist ran into him.
"Soren, I had an idea." Mist proclaimed cheerfully as she helped him up.
"Oh, joy." Soren deadpanned. Mist's ideas never really had any sort of benefit.
"Maybe we could try and find similarities between groups of the others and then they could spend their social time in those groups. Wouldn't that be fun?" Mist asked excitedly. Forget fun, Soren thought, that could prove to be quite tactically advantageous.
"Sure, Mist. In fact, let's start now." Soren said, attempting to sound optimistic.
"Okay, how about the espionage club?" Mist suggested.
"You mean attempting to get Lucia and Bastian to work together out of something other than duty? That won't work." Soren pointed out.
"Then why not the wind sages club?" Mist asked.
"That would consist of Bastian and me. So, in a word, NO!" Soren said, not enjoying the idea of working closely with the melodramatic count of Fayre.
"Rogues whispers and assassins club?" Mist asked, hoping that she could come up with something Soren thought reasonable.
"Hmm… Actually, that might work. Heather, Volke, and Sothe. Sothe might not like not being with Micaiah, but they would be a fairly good team anyway." Soren said, slightly happy that Mist came up with a strategic idea for once.
"Oh, and maybe also the people who should not be anywhere near enemy fire mages group?" Mist proposed, though she didn't know who should be in it.
"Ike, Muarim, Mordecai, Lethe, Ranulf, and Volug would be in that. It seems like a good enough idea."
"And then, how about the people who always get left behind club?" Mist asked, unaware that Meg, Fiona, Astrid, and Lyre might feel offended by that.
"It wouldn't help because they never come into battles, but I suppose it might be helpful to give them designated activities to make them feel useful." Soren said bluntly. Lyre, who had been watching, started to cry.
"Okay, now how about the people who used to live in Begnion but left because they didn't like it there group?" Mist suggested brightly. Sanaki, who was also watching, felt the burn of a tear against her cheek.
"Let's see, of the people yet to be grouped that would be Micaiah, Tormod, Vika, Reyson, Leanne, and Rafiel. They all end up being in the same area during battles anyway." Soren said.
"That's all I can think of. Except for maybe the groupless group."
"Yeah."
Later, they got permission from Ike to announce those groupings… And then received angry glares from around half of their teammates. Ike didn't mid their groupings though, and so those groupings stayed around, much to the consternation of most. Eventually, the Rogues/Whispers/Assassins club disbanded due to its members frequently beating each other up. The groupless group never had meetings. The people who used to live in Begnion but left because they didn't like it club members worked together well, until Ike realized that every member of that club could easily be killed by a well aimed arrow and added Gatrie. By the end of their campaign against Ashera, the only remaining clubs were the people who always get left behind club and Elincia and Geoffrey, who weren't in any group and used their social time to go on romantic walks.
In retrospect it's not incredibly funny, but I hope you enjoyed it anyway.
