Miriam has been in the land of milk and honey for three years now but it feels like so much more time has passed because so much has happened.

Moses and Tziporra had a son named Gershom during the end of our journey also during the 6 months it took to arrive here Aaron married a farmer named Patricia. And Miriam met her husband on the journey to the Promised Land but her husband perished in the desert on the journey here due to the heat exhaustion and Miriam birthed his daughter and named her Cherut, which means 'Freedom' for obvious reasons.

Miriam was in her home making a dress for her daughters paddle doll and as she was she thought back to when she was a child and remembered how the only toys she and her brother had were sticks and dirt and was glad Moses got to enjoy the finer things in life. All the sudden she heard the front door open, and Moses and Aaron walked in looking exhausted from the days work. They both sat down and Aaron drank some water but Moses seemed to be lost in thought.

"Moses?" Miriam said to get his attention.

He looked at her as if he forgot where he even was "yes?" he replied

"What's on your mind, Moses?" Miriam asking concerned

"Is our mother dead?" Moses asked much less delicately than Aaron liked, because as soon as he said that Aaron looked like he had been struck on the back of the head and what Miriam knew was probably painful memories rushed through his head all at once and before Miriam could even say anything Aaron rushed out of the house.

Miriam stood up to go after him but she knew it was no use because when he was upset he liked to be alone or he would just get more upset, so she looked at Moses and he had more of a look of confusion on his face with a hint of sorrow for upsetting his brother. "I'm sorry Miriam I didn't know, I thou-" Moses was cut off because Miriam had gone up to him and put a hand on his shoulder.

"It's okay," She assured, "Aaron never likes hearing of our mother, and it was an unspoken rule not to mention her"

Moses looked almost disappointed

"But…" Miriam pondered, "He's not here so you can ask some questions, but only a few"

After a while of thinking for the perfect thing to ask he finally came up with a question.

"Was she a bad person?" he inquired

"Well…" Miriam began, "No, she was a very loving mother and very kind to everyone that she knew respected her."

There was a period of time where Moses looked thoughtfully at the wall as he was thinking of more questions before he finally asked

"Is she dead?" Moses repeated

This made Miriam almost jump but she knew he would ask that question, but she didn't know which answer would be worse, she could lie and he would be sad but eventually move on or she could tell him the truth and make him go trough the same torture her and Aaron had gone through ever since it happened. Miriam had been so deep in thought tat she didn't even realize that tears had sprung to her eyes in the thought of her mother. "Miriam?" Moses chimed in delicately to get her attention.

All Miriam could do was look up at Moses and say the only answer she could think of when she looked into her baby brothers' eyes, so she looked up at him and so she spoke the truth as a single tear escaped her eye…

"I don't know."
