I hate hospitals

I always have

The first time I went to one was the day before my grandfather passed away.

The second time I went was the day after my little cousin Daisy was born.

And the third was when my uncle Ben crashed the car and I broke my arm and had a minor concussion, but uncle Ben didn't make it. And it was my fault , if I hadn't distracted him , he would still be here and Daisy would still have a dad.

I live with my aunt may , bens husband and Daisy's mother.

I love aunt may. But after the accident she got paranoid and took daisy and me to the hospital if even the slightest thing was wrong with us.

It was also after the accident that it started happening.

I started seeing the shadows , they were like people but they were dark and was just the outline of the person , at least to begin with anyway.

At first it was was just a shadow out of the corner of my eye , and when I'd try have a proper look there would be nothing there.

I was able to ignore it until one day when I looked, I saw.

It was just a shadow.

And it just stood there.

It was looking in my direction I could tell.

I told aunt may as we were it the emergency room waiting to be seen about Daisy's vomiting.

" aunt may look , look at the shadow man."

And I even pointed but she just shook her head muttering that there was no one there but I knew that wasn't true except when I looked back he waved at me and then it was kind of like he just poped and all that seemed to be left was a wisp of black smoke.

And that was when it started...

After I first saw the shadow man ,

I got sick.

Not cute puke in a bag sick .

Seriously ill , I was throwing up ,coughing up blood and blacking out every few hours.

Of course aunt may being may , took me to the hospital , I remained for a while , I'm not sure how long

But while I was there I hated it, I could practically feel the death radiating throughout the hospital.

I slept a lot because i didn't like it, inbetween throwing up and passing out I just slept.

It wasn't till after about the fifth day that I saw another shadow person , He was younger seeming than the other one , this time I could make out distinct features like he was wearing , the way his hair sat.

He was just more clear the the first one and this time I could hear a whistle like sound coming from him.

I listened more carefully and I realised he was talking , very , very quietly .

I wasn't sure if he was talking to me but it seemed as though he was just talking to himself .

He looked strangely familiar , I'd seen this man before but I couldn't think where.

It dawned on me

"Uncle Ben?"

The shadow Ben just looked up at me, almost sadly , then nodded before , like the one before , he disappeared leaving a thin cloud of smoke.

"No , uncle Ben come back" I called weakly.

He didn't.

I looked around frantically to find him Incas he had re-apeard , but he hadn't.

The nurse walked in and smiled at me as she walked to one of the other patients.

As she did so I noticed something odd , she had a pale light grey shadow-like person following her , not quite mimicking her steps , it was wispy and left trails of thin smoke like substances behind it as she walked.

It looked at me confused as though I shouldn't be seeing her.

I looked to the passerby's and noticed to same thing , all the people had the white shadows behind them .

I wanted to know what they were , I'd never seen anything like them before.

That was the first stage.

I tried going to sleep so I didn't have to see them. It worked .

This went on for a few days , I tried talking to may about it but she didn't understand.

It wasn't till the next day after I talked to May that a dark shadow appeared.

It was after the girl in the same ward as me died.

After they had taken her away I noticed her light shadow person was slowly fading into black.

Then it waited sadly at the foot of my bed.

Then she looked at me.

And spoke

She sounded just like she did when she was alive.

" you can see me can't you ?" She asked

I just nodded

" what are you "

"Nobody told you yet?"she asked.

" no "

" I'm going to let him explain" she smiled smugly

" who "

She pointed to something next to me.

And I turned to look at what she was pointing at.

I was face to face with another light shadow.

It was me.

I screamed .

I tried to get away

I couldnt

Me smiled evilly

'We're going to have so much fun together. "
