Deserving

You say you love me

but who am I to deserve you?

I am nothing but a monster,

not the man you see in me

How can I ever thank you

for loving me, forgiving me, holding me

keeping me sane and save

in those days of darkness

"You belong to me", you say

and can't I believe you

But sincerity and love shows in your eyes

and I'm captivated, lost in you

And after all this time we spent together

after all those years of love and trust

I come to understand that it is not I

But you who deserves

A/N: This is my first poem. It's what Severus is thinking about his relationship with Hermione, considering his past and what he did. Well, I won't explain it now… poetry isn't that good if you have to explain it first, right?
