Don't Waste My Time
Don't waste my time.
I hate people who waste my time.
I feel an obligation to look at people when
they speak to me.
But I'm a busy person.
I do important things.
So when people make me look at them,
it takes away from what I was doing.
It could take away from my performance.
So I hate to look at people.
Don't make me look at you if you have nothing important to say.
I do important things.
Don't waste my time.
But you speak to me anyways.
Can't you see how I am busy enough?
You've created enough problems.
You entered the room.
You've taken up space.
I hope you're happy.
I hope you're not wasting my time.
I hope what you're about to say is something useful.
I turn to you and glare.
I glare because I hate looking at people,
I hate looking at people because I am busy,
I look at people because I feel like I have to.
I've been told it's rude not to.
(A/N: Not that Kanda puts a lot of effort into being polite.)
So I do it.
And you see my face.
And I see you withdraw.
Are you afraid of something?
I'm the only one here,
except for you.
And that makes you a nuisance.
You're talking up time.
Tell me what you have to say.
…
What?
You have nothing to say?
Did you decide it wasn't important?
Then get out of my sight.
…
Still, at least you spared me having to listen to something unimportant.
Now, back to what I was doing.
