Sometimes, things happen. They can be good, or they can be bad; but they aren't always the kinds of things we expect. Sometimes good "things" happen from the bad "things". I'm not so sure on what that is just yet, but bear with me for a story.

You see, I was minding my own business. I had just finished an abnormally long shift at a coffee shop in downtown seattle, when, out of the blue, (no pun intended) the sky started falling.

No really. The sky. It was like a huge amount of white fog had surrounded everything so rapidly, that no one had any time to breathe. It was poisonous, it burned my lungs, and it was eventually lethal.

People around me were lying face first on the concrete, gasping for air, to which, I was probably doing the same. My brain had decided to cut out my own problems and try and figure out just what in the hell was going on.

I never got to find out unfortunately. A few moments later and I finally passed out due to lack of oxygen. Perhaps I died in the whole scenario? I'm not even sure of that… It was a strange feeling. I wasn't scared, oh, definitely not scared. Maybe a little confused? Sure.

All I know is, I hated the feeling. It was foreign, annoying, and a little like trying to float in a pool while the next door neighbors kid tries to do a cannon-ball next to your head. Stuffy, maybe?

The feeling only lasted a few moments though. It was here and gone faster than I could ever imagine.

However, the next minute and a half were pure agony. The squeezing, pulling and squished feeling of being trapped in a box with no outlet. It was terrifying.

I pushed myself in every direction I could before the the strangest thing happened. A hand appeared out of nowhere.

A very large hand.

It grabbed me and pulled me out of that box feet first, and at first, i wasn't even sure on if I should be shocked or if i should scream. I chose the latter of course, only it definitely didn't sound like my scream, and it definitely shouldn't have come out more like a cry.

I mean, I sounded like a baby for heavens sake!

Baby…

Wait. Oh no.

This is like one of those stories where the person dies, and gets reborn into some crazy family, and they end up being some sort of supernatural hero with great amounts of power, But that's just crazy. That sort of thing doesn't really happen. People die, and they stay dead. They don't come back as infantile children, and they sure as heck don't come back as children of story book characters.

Right?

I was placed onto something soft and warm, trying to catch my bearings and make these damn limbs move where I need them too for just a moment, before i decided it would be a great idea to look up and see exactly what I'd been placed into.

The face of a gentle looking woman, with the brightest red hair I'd ever been graced to see in my lifetime, was staring at me. She was smiling but looked somewhat in pain. Her greenish colored eyes were full of watery substance, and she nodded her head to her left before returning her affectionate gaze my way.

"Akino. Uzumaki, Akino."

My faced went as blank as a baby's face could, before i burst into tears.

Ah , shit.
