Tifa's eyes twinkled as she studied Reno as he sat in expectation of the picnic blanket as Tifa unpacked each new wonder for what seemed to be her bottomless hamper.
His own eyes hungrily studied the spread she put before him. "I'm a lucky man to be with you" he proclaimed as he wondered what to sample first. "Is that parmesan baked chicken breast?" he asked her.
"Seasoned with onion soup mixed as you like it" she said with a smirk.
"And this?" he asked her, knowing full well what it was.
"Potato salad with creamy dill curry mayo sauce and feta cheese" she said.
He licked his lips at this "and this?" he asked her.
She narrowed her eyes at him "garlic bruschetta with shallots and double cream brie melts" she purred at his starving look.
"And these?" he demanded.
"Mini dill crunch pickles I caned last summer" she demurred. "I also made: colourful coleslaw and asiago stuff artichokes" she added. "How does the whet your appetite?" she asked him.
"Very well" he said licking his lips and rubbing his hands in anticipation of his feast.
"I also have: chocolate fudge brownies with rum flavoured whipped cream for dessert. Save some room" she cautioned him.
"I will" he said, draping his napkin over his knee and accepting the heaping plastic plate from her.
"Now let's hurry up and eat. I can't wait to get home to ravish you. I plan to make, double berry with Greek yoghurt pancakes for breakfast tomorrow and already made the raspberry maple syrup in advance. How does that grab you?" she asked him.
He just put his thumb up at this as he was too busy eating. He was starved for his girlfriend's home cooking.
Tifa smiled in triumph and knew he was hers for life and all she'd had to do to hook the most eligible bachelor in Midgar was to capture him one recipe at a time.
