It was late, or very early depending on how one looked at it. The Cullen's living room was brightly lit and full of people, vampire and wolf alike. It was also full of laughter and playful jokes being thrown at each other. A game of RISK sat on the coffee table in the middle.
Seth laughed but it quickly turned into a yawn. He smiled, blinking and giving his head a shake to try and stay awake. On one side he had Leah, who was arguing with Jacob about his next move and on his other was Jasper. The Civil War strategist currently had control over four of the seven continents.
Yawning again Seth leaned back against the couch. He found himself drifting off and before he knew it he was leaning against a hard, cold pillow. If he hadn't been so tired he would have realized that his pillow was Jasper.
Golden eyes glanced down when he felt a warm weight against his side. Jasper's lips twitched with a small smile when he saw Seth had fallen asleep against him. He shifted and wrapped his arm around Seth's shoulders hoping to make the young wolf more comfortable. Seth sighed and buried his face in Jasper's sweater.
"I should take him home." Jasper looked up and met Leah's eyes, noting the gentle, motherly affection that rolled off her toward Seth.
"No need, he's not bothering me," Jasper replied. "I never realized how warm you wolves were."
Leah snorted softly. "Like a flame."
Seth stretched slightly, one arm wrapping around Jasper's waist. Jasper grinned as his grip on Seth's shoulders tightened a bit. 'If he's a flame then I'm a moth,' he thought. He could get used to this warmth.
