"A kiss is a lovely trick designed by nature to stop speech when words become superfluous."
-Ingrid Berman
"This isn't right Sam. What about Leah? What about my family? Didn't you love her?" Eyes streaming, puckered scars lining a face of beauty.
"I loved her yes. But now I love you. And that will never ever change." A rough thumb smoothed away salty tears gently. "Forever I will be yours."
The tears intensified. "You can't just start loving someone! It doesn't...it doesn't work like that. You have to fall in love, you have to-" warm lips smothered her own, empty arguments dying away.
In sync, gently. Lips moving with one another. Damp eyelashes brushing against a copper cheek. Warmth, safety. Softly, pulling away, "I love you. What could ever be more right than that?"
