Sam, Daniel, Vala and Mitchell went back to Earth through the Stargate rather than wait the three weeks it would take the Odyssey to get back, they didn't have time to wait that long.
The gate alarm rang out in the SG-C.
"It's SG-1." Master Sgt Walter Harriman announced.
"Open the iris." General Hank Landry instructed before leaving the control room to walk down the gate room.
The iris whirled open and SG-1 stepped through.
"Welcome back SG-1." Landry welcomed. "Good job."
"Thank you sir." Sam replied.
"Sir request that McKay stay in Atlantis indefinitely." Mitchell requested
"Don't like the man?" Landry smiled.
"I don't think his head will fit through the gate." Cam explained. "Hey Teal'c nice work on your end too." He greeted the Jaffa who had entered the room.
"You too." Teal'c nodded his head.
"I understand you had an encounter with an Ancient." Landry said to Daniel and Vala.
"It was quite interesting." Vala stated. "Although we did not get to tour the city or get any souvenirs."
"Dr Weir didn't appreciate you trying to steal things." Mitchell pointed out.
"She gave us the addresses where we need to look before the others sucked her away from helping us." Daniel replied.
"We'll debrief in four hours, report to the infirmary and then Colonel Carter's lab."
"My lab?" Sam questioned.
"You'll understand when you get there." Landry told them.
"Teal'c do you know what is going on?" Mitchell inquired as they left the gate room.
"I believe the proof is in the pie."
"Pudding." Mitchell corrected.
"Did he just say pie?" Sam whispered to Daniel. "You don't thinkā¦"
"Maybe." Daniel replied.
"What am I missing?" Vala asked.
"Nothing." Daniel stated.
SG-1 SG-1
"I see you found your Gameboy General." Sam stood in the doorway to her lab flanked by the men of SG-1 and Vala.
"You hadn't moved it." He shrugged. "Hey kids."
"Jack, this is a nice surprise." Daniel said.
"Nice to see you again General." Cameron added.
"Are you sure you're a General?" Vala inquired.
"Unfortunately."
"So what are you doing here sir?" Sam asked.
"It's not everyday you use two space gates to enact super gates using a wormhole and destroy Wraith ship and an Ori ship in the process." Jack replied. "I thought I'd come for the debriefing in person."
"It's good to have you here sir." Sam told him.
"So does feel as good as blowing up a sun?" Jack asked.
"Not quite sir, McKay was there." Sam stated.
"Ah."
"Shepard gave me a lemon which helped keep him in order." Cameron added.
"Well to celebrate I brought cake." Jack moved so they could see the large cake on the table which read 'congratulations'.
"I knew there was a reason I missed you." Sam stated.
"Only one Carter?" Jack raised his eyebrows.
"I'm sure they'll come back to me."
"What kind of cake is it?" Vala eyed the large cake.
"Chocolate." Jack replied. "You can't celebrate without a cake."
"Don't you think it's a bit early to celebrate?" Cameron inquired.
"Any mission you all come back from is cause to celebrate." Jack stated. "Pie works for most missions but blowing up suns and super gates and generally saving the world deserves cake."
"Unwritten SG-1 rule." Sam told him.
"That and feeding Carter blue Jell-O to get her out her lab." Jack winked at her as he cut the cake.
"It's a great idea." Daniel said.
"Indeed." Teal'c agreed.
"The President asked me to give you all a message too." Jack said passing cake out.
"What's that sir?" Cameron inquired.
"He says you can have Camp David for a week when you get rid of the Ori threat and generally save the planet."
"What makes him so confident that they will?" Vala asked. "This is very good."
"It may take time but it's what SG-1 does." Jack replied. "Even death doesn't stop them."
"Vala's daughter doesn't seem to agree with you." Daniel pointed out.
"What does she know?" Jack asked. "I have faith in you. So eat cake and be merry and then get back out there and kick some Ori asses."
