Interview with Lilypel

As Interviewed by Little Miss Journalist

Q: When you write your stories, what do you find inspiration in the most?

A: I get a lot of inspiration from everyday life. Just today in fact I was at the grocery store and just walking around and watching people sparked ideas for a story. I also get a lot of inspiration from watching H2O and reading other people's fanfiction.

Q: Do you have a favorite story of yours? If so, which one and why?

A: Well I think my favorite story of mine would have to be Exposed because it is the only story I have out right now on fanfiction. I have written other original stories, but with Exposed I have really gotten into the lives of the characters and I am planning for it to be rather long. I have many ideas for this story but I am just not sure how they are going to come out yet.

Q: How old we're you when you wrote your first story? (Childhood) Do you remember what it was about?

A: My first story that wasn't a class assignment was called The Piano Child. I wrote it when I was about nine, but never finished it. It was about a little girl named Julia who had been adopted, but her adoptive parents never even payed attention to her. She runs away and goes through all of these adventures. She turns out to be great at playing the piano so in the end she becomes this billionaire (not really sure how, it just sort of happened. I didn't really think that part through when I was writing the story...)

Q: Do you like to read stories one chapter at a time or all at once?

A: I always like to read finished stories all the way through. I just can't stand waiting for the next chapter to come out. I almost never read stories that aren't complete.

Q: Which story are you most and least proud of, or are they all equal?

A: Hmm... I would say they are all about equal. I am not super proud of the writing skills of my first few stories I wrote back when I was younger, but I was just starting out. Plus, practice makes perfect.

Q: What first gave you the idea to join .net in the first place?

A: Reading fanfiction. I was a reader of fanfiction long before I finally joined the site. One day I was reading this awesome fanfic with all these comments telling the author how much they loved it and I thought, that could me! I could write a totally epic story with bunches of fans! So, I joined and tried to do just that. Hopefully I am succeeding!

Q: Have you ever based one of your characters after someone you know? If so, who was it?

A: Yep, I wrote this story a while back about a girl who is a mermaid and her best friend. Well basically it was me as a mermaid and my best friend staring in the story. It was fun to write but by doing it that way the characters ended up having almost no personality. It was one of my earlier stories, so maybe I could pull it off now.

Q: Do you like to write stories on paper first then transfer it, or write it on the computer and edit and publish it?

A: I type my stories on the computer. I can type much faster than I can write so it saves time and trees!

Q: Which do you find more frustrating- when you have time to write but no inspiration or when you are inspired but have no time?

A: Definitely when I have time to write but no inspiration. I hate not having any inspiration. Plus it seems like I can always find time to write.

Q: Do you have a writing and publishing scheduele? If so, do you usually stick to it?

A: Not really. I just write whenever I have an idea. And when I don't then I just do other stuff until something comes to me.

If you wish to be interviewed, just feel free to leave a comment of PM me! It would be no trouble, whether you have 1 story or 100. An author is an author!
