Disclaimer: Sadly, I didn't invent the Labyrinth. As such, I don't own it and am making absolutely zero profit from this. Isn't it sad?

Summary: Sarah teaches Toby about sharing. A cute little one shot.

Sarah was lying on her bed, studying. She ran her eyes over the pages, highlighting those sentences that she needed.

'I'm glad I was in town this weekend.' She mused. 'Mom looks like she could use a night out.' Sarah was away most of the time, studying for a degree in psychiatry at university. She figured there must be loads more people like her who had encounters of one sort or another. It stood to reason that not all of them had kept silent about what they had seen. Sarah was hoping to sort out the crazy people from the ones who had actually seen something, and maybe help them get back into normal life.

'Hmm, wonder where Toby is. He's very quiet. I hope he's not annoying–' As she thought it, a baby's cries pierced the silence. Her younger brother ran into her room, calling her name.

"Sarah! Sarah!" He clutched tightly at a worn old teddy bear as he threw himself on top of the bed.

"Toby, did you steal Lancelot from little Amy again?" she scolded. She got up and swung her brother into her arms, heading across the hall to their parents' room. Putting her brother down on this bed, she moved over to the crib and picked up her baby half-sister, shushing her and trying to calm her down.

"She stole him from me first!" Toby protested, sitting on the bed cradling the bear. He looked at them indignantly. Sarah succeeded in calming Amy, and moved over to sit on the bed beside her brother.

"Yeah, but before that, you stole him from me!" Sarah informed him. Toby looked puzzled.

"I did?" Sarah nodded.

"Once, a long time ago. Have I ever told you the story of how you got trapped in the Labyrinth with the Goblin King?" Toby shook his head.

"Well, it all started on one day when I was playing on the park with Merlin…"

"…So when I got back you were fast asleep in bed, safe and sound. And I realised that I wanted to share Lancelot with you so he'd make you happy too. Now you have to do the same for baby Amy. Because that's what brothers and sisters do. They share their stuff with each other."

"Like I have to share my colours at school?" Toby frowned, trying to understand.

"That's right."

"And like Mommy and Daddy share a bed?" Sarah chuckled at the innocent comment.

"Not quite. Now come on." she said, standing and putting the now fast-asleep baby back into her cot, wincing inwardly at the pink and frills.

'Much as I love the woman, I have to admit my mom sure loves her stereotypes.' She thought as she settled Amy. Toby stood on tiptoes and peered into the cot. Glancing at the teddy in his arms, he placed it softly in the crib beside his younger sister.

"Lancey can belong to both of us, ok Amy? 'Cos if I have to share him, then Amy does too." He finished, looking at his older sister.

"Sounds good to me." She agreed. "Come on now Tobes. Time for bed." The younger boy ran ahead of her into his room. He clambered into bed and Sarah tucked the covers around him. She kissed him on the forehead, turned in his nightlight and hit the switch at the door to turn off the main light.

"Sarah?" his voice called softly to her as she went out of the room. She stuck her head back around the door.

"Yeah?"

"I'm glad you rescued me." He smiled at her, and she returned it.

"Me too." She replied.

"And Sarah? If you or Amy ever get captured by goblins, I'll bring you back, ok?"

"Thanks, Tobes. Goodnight."

"Night, Sarah."

AnimeAlexis: Wow. I really didn't think I'd be writing another Labyrinth fic, yet here I am. I'm on a major update campaign for all my stories, so Arrival will be updated soon, and I'll probably be adding one or two new stories and one shots. Yay for summer holidays!
