He has always know that his nation's crystal would attract thieves and other nations wanting to steal it. Especially after they lost their own crystal in the previous Cold War fifteen years ago.

A war his nation chose to stay out of but received a lot of criticism from the other nations for doing that. Not even offer to aid to his once allied kingdom.

He knows that had extreme consequences and causing the other nation to semi despise his nation, especially after years of friendship.

In a way they could understand their anger towards him and the rest of his country. Of course he still only been a boy at the time, but he can also understand his own nations reasons for wanting to stay out of the war.

There is a very good chance that his nation would have lost the crystal as well. ever since he was a boy his father has always told him the crystal safety must always come first.

But he will admit their is a few times he kind of wish the crystals were gone. It seems like every great war this war had it was because someone wanted a crystal or a group of people hoping to harness the crystals power. In the end its the people's lives who give up everything.

Either because they die in the war or is scarred because of it. He knows not all of them were soldiers. He knows that women have paid the price as well. Either because they have lost their homes or the invading soldiers use them as some sort of "comfort woman" during the war.

He knows that Tenebrae has lost everything. Even heard rumors that the kings own family was affected by the war losing them in some sort of crash that was targeted by the invading country.

Only his daughter survived.

Of course their was no way to confirm such rumors since his country cut off all communication with Tenebrae paying very little attention to the war.

Their is a part of him knows that it only a matter of time that war will come to his country.

After all the crystal does seem to attract wars to it.

He only hopes that he is prepared for it, that his people is prepared for it.
