Summary: 'But it was two am and she was really tired. She couldn't be held responsible for where, or whom she fell asleep on.
He still couldn't for the life of him, remember how he ended up in this situation. He'd gone from dating Lois, to not dating Lois, to having Chloe using him as a human pillow.
He gently fished his cell phone out of his pocket; the too bright LCD screen told him it was two am. Far too early for anyone to be awake or asleep depending on whom you were. The end credits to some movie, he assumed it was Armageddon because it was the last one on before he fell asleep, faded out until all that the screen showed was a bright blue glow. Chloe chose Armageddon, it was one of her favourites, she cried through 85% of the movie.
As he glanced around the room, he noticed the mess that had been created during what Bart had dubbed as the Justice League's first official Movie Night. The team has felt that there was too much work (a.k.a. saving the world) and not enough play, so JL Movie Night had been the best idea. Bowling was also taken into consideration but it was scrapped after Chloe pointed out the obvious cheating issues. Bart would probably use his super speed to knock all the pins down before anyone could notice he'd moved, Dinah was a sore loser so she might use her 'gift' to immobilize everyone in the room and Oliver? Well he had deadly aim, there was no way he wouldn't knock every pin down, every time.
Popcorn and DVD cases were littered across the floor, it was a relief to know he wouldn't be cleaning up tomorrow; he could always make Bart do it, or housekeeping, whoever got there first.
Oliver made a move to sit up but a hand pushed him back down onto the sofa.
"Pillows aren't supposed to move" Chloe grumbled, repositioning herself on his chest, she was faintly aware that falling asleep in her cousins ex-boyfriends arms wasn't the best idea she'd ever had but it was two am and she was really tired. She couldn't be held responsible for where, or whom she fell asleep on.
"I was just going to turn the TV off, sorry I woke you" Chloe seemed satisfied with his answer because soon enough her breathing evened out and she was once again asleep. Oliver took a moment to evaluate the situation. Every time he and Lois had tried to have a movie night, something Green Arrow related had come up and away he'd gone. But it was different with Chloe; there was no impending doom that he had to run away and save the world from. He could just lie here with her in his arms. Whoa wait a minute there Green Arrow!Oliver shook his head, almost as if to rid himself of the thoughts held within it. He was thinking about Chloe as if they were in a relationship, something that they most definitely were not. Although come to think of it, it wouldn't be that bad if they were. She was smart, funny, sarcastic and oh so beautiful.
As he held her there in his arms, the soft tickling of her baby blonde hair on his neck, her delicate hand gently placed on his chest, the steady rise and fall of her chest as she slept, Yeah he definitely wouldn't mind being her boyfriend. They should have movie nights more often.
