Chapter 1:
Time to get up and go to school, like every other day. My name is Angel Lee Walker I'm 17 years old and I live with my best friend Paige. I have long black hair with dark blue tips and blond strips on top. I have blue eyes and weigh 120 pounds. And to top it off 5 foot 6 inches tall. I hate preppy girls, dumb jokes or just plain old Kennedy. Trust me on that one, you don't want to know.
I brushed my hair and walked out of my home with only a tank top on and a pair of shorts. It was then that I noticed there wasn't a for sale sign in the next door neighbors yard, and a moving truck in the driveway. I went to the mailbox to check for any bills, looking through them I found a past due bill and felt my jaw drop.
"What's wrong wit' you?" A deep voice asked. I turned around to see who was talking to me. He was big, not fat but you know the 7ft 1in kind of big. He was African and had his hair in cornrows. His clothes consisted of a white wife beater and baggy dark pants. I will admit he was pretty hot but he was probably a player to.
"Nothing you need to worry about." I said walking towards my house, only for him to stop me.
"Hey now that's not very nice, aren't you going to welcome me and Shiv to the neighborhood by baking a cake or something."
"Nope, if you want help or something go ask another neighbor." I replied stepping inside my home to get ready. Grabbing my sweatshirt and my bag I headed out to my dad's brand new car, he gave me. Someone stopped me though, it was that guy again.
"Relax I just wanted to tell you that my names Ivan and that idiot over there is Shiv." Ivan stated pointing at the so called idiot.
"I'm Angel, hey do you guy's go to school?"
"Yeah I'm going to north, why do you go there?" He asked.
"Yeah I'm going there right now in fact. If you need a ride I can give you one." I offered.
"Really? Sweet thanks." he said "let me go get shiv." he walked into that house and grad shiv. he was smiling,
"Hi" he said
"Hi. well we should get going, I have to pick up a friend." I said as shiv got in back and ivan sat next to me when I turned on the car hip-hop came on as loud as I could get it. then i noticed that Ivan like the music... not that i care. i went to the house Paige stayed at last night. Kelly (the girl she spent the night at. also one of my friends.) and Paige had to do homework alll night. when i pulled onto the street i looked for the yellow house. when i found the right house i pulled into the drive way. she was already waiting for me.
"Who are the new guys?" she said she has brown hair with purple strips. she had dark brown eyes. She had army pants and with a green T-shirt. sun glasses on her head and boots, and a back pack. out of the corner of my eye i saw shivs mouth drop. Ivan was staring at me.
"This is Ivan and shiv. Now get in back i want to get something to eat. if i have enough money." I say
"You need money?"
"No it's okay." i say as we drove to school
