An unexpected stranger frees Calphayus from an awkward predicament.
A loud cracking sound and a feeling of falling made Calphayus's vision evaporate, and the elderly Pureblood found himself tangled in the branches of a tree not so far from one of the towers marking the landscape of this part of Oricon.
Calphayus looked around, careful not to stir too much, and found out that he was pretty far from the ground. He had no idea how he even managed to get here, and his last memory was falling asleep while reclining in his throne. And then he dreamed of following a path, one of the many multicolored paths that often obscured his view of the present.
Currently he spotted a path that would soon lead his Aide, No'ree, here to help him down. He also saw a path of some stranger leading to this spot, with a possibility of them helping him.
Soon the unfortunate Dread Master saw the actual stranger: a young human girl with black hair. Currently she stopped right under the tree he was stuck in and studied him with a raised brow, as if not sure what exactly she was seeing. And she was seeing a strange thing: someone, by all looks a Sith, and a high-ranking one, in a red-black ornate robes and a golden creepy-looking crested mask, STUCK IN A TREE LIKE A HELPLESS NEXU KITTEN.
The two looked at each other, then Calphayus sighed:
"Yes, I am real. No, you are not hallucinating. No I am not going to kill, hurt, kidnap you for experiments, or scare the living soul out of you. To be frank, I am in a rather awkward situation up there…"
The Dread Master shifted slightly, but then stopped abruptly when the branch crackled threateningly under his weight.
"I think I require some assistance…" – he admitted, deciding to not to go into explaining how his Force Flight limps on both feet and that he has trouble navigating in two dimensions and his last attempt to levitate nearly led him into a lava lake.
"Um, hi, yes, of course, s-sure? How did you even get up there?" – The stranger finally stammered, then stepped back and closed her eyes, focusing.
"I honestly have NO idea…" – Calphayus shrugged, feeling the Force pull at him. So, this kind soul was a Force user.
"Last thing I remember was thinking of taking a nap" – he was lifted a few inches before being stopped by the parts of the robe impaled and otherwise stuck in the branches. Some of them started breaking, others ripped the fabric before letting it go. The Dread Master sighed:
"There goes yet another robe…" – He commented while floating down to the ground. Soon his feet hit the soil softly and he stretched and extended a hand to the girl:
"You have my most profound gratitude, my fair savior" – Calphayus's face was obscured by the mask, but Isa somehow felt that he was smiling. Maybe it was in his stare. She could also feel a sense of safety descend upon her, which contrasted with the surroundings but wasn't unwelcome.
Encouraged, she took the offered hand and shook it politely. It felt warm, even through the gloves.
Finally, Calphayus stepped back, nodded courtly:
"Thank you again. May you travels be safe and fears – little" – The strange Sith (Dread Guard? DREAD MASTER?!) turned away and started walking away, humming some tune quietly.
