A/N: Ok, I know it looks like Nacy in the beginning, but stick through it Kevin/Macy shippers, the ending it all them.

About half way through her non-date with the obviously sick Joe, Stella had already half-formed a plan in her mind. She knew her best friend, and dressing up her date like Nick Lucas; the brunette had it bad. And really, they would be quiet cute together.

When they all eat lunch together he makes a point to look at her, partially formed smile in place, as she babbles on and his stylist makes a mental note, dark eyes flipping between the two as Kevin laughed at Macy's story.

She hears her laugh, the one every girl has for that guy, the one she hears treacherously slip from her own parted lips too many times while around the middle band member, and she looks over Joe's shoulder and sees Macy with the two remaining band mates, brown eyes darting between the two as they duck the baseball bat in her hand. She smiles knowingly as Kevin laughs it off and Nick rolls his eyes affectionately.

She finds the boys by the lockers and makes plans to tutor Joe during lunch while casually mentioning that this means Macy will be eating by herself. The almost-genius stares at her, eyes narrowed. She's not sure what it means, but she's pretty sure he gets it, and he's got that little half smile on, so she's not worried.

She finds herself missing half a step on her way to Chemistry when the dark haired girl next to her mentions the pudding Kevin pulled from his pants pocket during lunch.

She invites her best friend with her to the boys' house for their monthly measure. It was no problem sending Joe out for mochas, and as soon as she heard the familiar snick of the front door latching, she shouts "Bee!" while pointing at the eldest Lucas brother's curly head. He ducks and weaves, and Macy throws herself in front of him as a sacrifice to the insect's painful sting. By the time Stella realizes her plan to get Kevin out of the room backfired, he's is sitting on the floor with Macy standing guard, fly swatter in hand, and Nick is nowhere in sight.

She got the invite for dinner, with guest, at the Lucas's firehouse that weekend and it's all set up. The self-proclaimed fashion genius stops by Macy's early for a quick outfit check and make-up application and then her some-what clumsy best friend is sandwiched between herself and the eldest brother, with Nick directly across; date-esque, only with more people. And if the knowing look and half hidden curve of his mouth are anything to go by, Nick defiantly knows what the blond is up to.

She can practically feel Macy smiling beside her, eyes bright as she takes in the cozy atmosphere and blushing prettily every little bit. She smirks at the way he watches the brunette at her side, brown eyes warm as she politely asks for another roll.

It seemed fool proof, or at least Kevin-proof; tell Nick that Macy desperately wants to hear the new song he wrote and take the remaining two out for ice cream. But after coming back in to get Kevin, she finds Nick at the base of a poll, and guitar music drifting down from the boys' room. She opens her mouth to berate the young man when he looks at her, full smile in place. "I think its working." Her mouth snaps shut as she stares at him, wondering what it is that the usually so solemn boy it thinking. Nothing is going right. And then she hears the laugh. Two pairs of brown eyes dart up to the hole above them and Stella can just make out part of Kevin's smiling face. "I thought I was the only one who saw it. Should have known you're "Stella-senses" would pick up on it." She looks back that the younger boy and the blond just smiles and nods.

"I was so right." She barely stumbles over the lie but Nick doesn't notice as he pulls her away from the soon-to-be-couple and out the door. Ice creams awaits.

A/N: Definitely cuter in my head.

Review and make my day better.
