Bellatrix Black and her cousin Sirius were complete opposites. Fire and ice, night and day, Slytherin and Gryffindor, Death Eater and Order of the Phoenix member. And because of these differences, they near hated each other. Bellatrix thought of Sirius as a filthy blood traitor, and Sirius thought of his deranged cousin as pure evil, sadistic. And even after the years they spent together in Azkaban, their differences still stood strongly among them. And although these disputes brought hate and animosity among these two, very distant cousins, no one thought that she, Bellatrix Black was capable of actually murdering her own cousin.
