This OS is inspired, firstly, by the marvellous scene of Evey's rebirth in V for Vendetta. Then by Cowtossing's vid called Padme's retribution that can be found on youtube. My storyline resembles hers somewhat.

Padmé didn't die but was locked up by Darth Vader and the emperor. She was tortured in order to find any information about the rebel alliance. But she never gave in. And now she is waiting to be executed.

I am Padmé Amidala.

No... I am not anymore:

Padmé Amidala, the queen
Padmé Naberrie, the senator
Padmé Skywalker', the wife.

I am not that woman anymore.
I am not a name anymore.
I am not anymore.

The mask has dissolved
The white makeup has melted
The red scar has faded

The thick cloaks
The dark curls
The fine dresses

I have left them behind.

My beloved husband
My dearest love
My deepest regret

From kissing to strangling
From whispering to screaming
From caressing to torturing.

But I shall not kneel.
But I shall not cry.
But I shall not beg.

In that cell I contemplate my death.

Trembling
Fearing
Almost crying.

And then I forgot
And then I remembered
And then I knew

How blind I was!
How young I was!
How foolish I was!

Freedom
Courage
Honour...

I had them

in the palms of my hands
on the tips of my fingers
under my fingernails

But never in my heart.

How right they were...

Those who believe

that emotions can cloud your judgement
that love can mislead you
that true freedom is beyond attachment

And that true courage
And that true love
And that true freedom

Could only by reached by

Letting go.
Truly living each moment.
And never, never, fearing death.

As the steps grew closer to her cell

Her damp
Her cold
Her filthy

cell.

She knew that no doors could contain her anymore
She knew that no doors could stop her anymore
She knew that no doors could scare her anymore.

She was calm.
She was conscious.
She was alive.

Beneath her bleeding heart
Beyond her tired body
Inside her eternal soul

Her every breath accepted.

Accepted the past, future and present
Accepted the others and herself
Accepted Death.

Every day a second
Every second a day
Timeless Eternity

She was finally free.
