Crying and Hugs
Ginny Weasley took a deep breath standing next to the open door and ran into the boys dormitory.
She hesitated knowing that they were all tired and probably sleeping, after all, they had just fought in a
Battle. Maybe she should just go back to bed. Then to her relief she heard a male voice.
"Ginny is that you; what are you doing up here?"
She smiled at the confused face that squinted at her sad tired eyes, searched the table
by his bed and finally put on his glasses.
"oh that's why it looks like you, it is you, that leaves my second question, what are you
doing in this room, or this half of the house for that matter?"
"I can't sleep even though I'm so tired, and I didn't want to be alone."
"I know how you feel" replied Harry
Harry threw the covers to the side of his bed sat up and motioned for Ginny
to sit down too. She leaned against his legs and sat with her legs curled to the side, he put his
arm around her waist and she put her hand on top of his. He looked at her sad eyes which were
wet with tears.
"it's all my fault Ginny I never should have let anyone stand in front of – of – of what had to
happen eventually, and now it has, but Gin what a mess and it's all my fault and….."
He was starting to tear-up and then suddenly Ginny threw her self forward and buried her face
in the covers, sobs racking her slight body. Harry rubbed her back gently until she wasn't crying, just tired
and unhappy and sniffling, then he carefully pulled her up, wiped her tears away and kissed the tip of her
nose, her forehead and last her lips, softly, tenderly, and lovingly, then he held her tight to his chest and put
his arms around her.
"Go ahead and cry, I'm holding you close, I'm right here."
Of course someone in the room had to wake up and see them, so everyone did.
"Oi, Harry, what are you doing with my sister mate?"
But he thought it was sweet and couldn't wait to try it with Hermione.
Ron ran out of the room to go get Hermione, along with Seamus and Dean. They all forgot about
the staircase so they all slid down the stairs and woke every one with their shrieks. Neville had noticed
Ginny's face was red like she had been crying stayed to see if her would get and explanation, when he
didn't he decided that at the moment Luna needed a hug more than Harry needed an invisibility cape.
And Filch probably wasn't awake anyway.
