Nico's Sorrows

He descended into Tartarus with no one by his side. He just barely survived. To see Percy and Annabeth get admired and practically worshipped by the others for doing the same thing he did nearly broke him.

Poem written in Nico's P.O.V. Takes place towards the end of The House of Hades.

Nico's Sorrows

Screaming
'Till I have no voice.
Dying
Because I'm left with no choice.

Death is so tempting.
Darkness is consuming.

Do I live?
Do I die?
Am I worth a while?

I've seen the worst things.
Bled until nothing was left.
Lost all of my bearings.
And what did I get?

No love.
No home.
Just pitch black
Emptiness.

I've lost all hope.
I've lost myself.

Don't have the will to survive
Not with death being close by.
Am I dead or alive?
Will someone say goodbye?

Where am I?
Lost.
Who am I?
Unknown.

Close to dying.
Unacknowledged
Without even trying.

Death awaits me.
And I want to accept.
To end this shameful misery.
