'No, we've come to fight.'
Teira, please. He begged with his mind, Come with me.
She smiled gently, 'I need to go.'
'No, stay! You can always ascend.' John begged. 'You know how to.'
She looked at him, stared at his soul.
Please, I . . . I love you.
'You could ascend now.' Teira told him.
'Please, I need you.' He asked desperately.
'They are my family, John, my present, my past, my family.' She looked at the rest of the half ascended ancients. 'But you are my future,' and wit hthat, she stepped down, out of the glowing mist, and hugging John, and whispering in his ear. 'I won't regret this, I can see that far.'
They were joined by Hedda, who smile at them. 'You didn't think that I was going to leave my sister did you?'
John laughed, ruffling her hair. 'No, Hedda, I didn't.'
They turned to watch the rest of the inhabitants ascent and Teira's brother waved at them slowly and disappeared.
'Let's go home yeah?' John suggested.
