Another Tara/Ryan dabble of mine. I'm pretending Tara wasn't ever in trouble and did nothing wrong. Mistakes are mine. I don't own them. CC is welcome; Review are love. Hope you enjoy.

Tara was looking around. The ballroom was beautiful. It was almost overwhelming. It made her feel, well, lonely. It not that she wasn't enjoying the county ball that the mayor suddenly decided hold, it just everyone else.

Everyone was paired off. It was strange for her to see all her friends and colleagues all dressed up in formal attire. The only one that looked normal was her boss Horatio, but only because he ALWAYS wore a suit.

Everyone was dancing, twirling, and smiling with each other, everyone but her. How out of place she felt. While the others were one the floor, dancing away, she stood by and watched. She was tempted to leave when someone tapped her on the shoulder. Tara turned and smiled. "Ryan."

"Why aren't you out there?"

"I have no one to dance with."

Ryan smiled at her. Tara loved it when he smiled. He leaned in whispered, "You do now."

There was a hint of pink on Tara light brown skin. "I do now?"

Ryan nodded and grabbed her hand. "May I have this dance?"

She didn't even think for a second. "Of course." Ryan led Tara out to the dance floor. She didn't feel so lonely all the sudden.
