Ezra sighed as he closed the book he'd been reading. He had found a character in the novel to represent each of the men he held so dear to his heart, and although he'd enjoyed the journey, he found himself disagreeing with the author's last line. "No, mah friend," he whispered before turning out his light in eager anticipation of starting a new day with his family, "not merely life but happiness happens when you're busy making other plans." He laid down and drifted instantly off to dream of bright and shining days spent with the family he'd finally found.
