"Yuki!" Moriyama said, running up to her, panting.
"I told you to stop calling me that! Keep on running, there's still 4 more laps for you!" Kasamatsu growled, kicking him in the shin.
"But why is your name Yukio anyway? It has the kanji 'boy' in it, as in snow boy, but you're a girl, it should be Yuki! Since you're so pretty like a girl~" Moriyama said(flirted).
"Sweet talk won't get you anywhere Moriyama, now go run those laps before I make it 10." She said, knowing full well what the boy and/or man wants.
"But Yuki~ We have been running non-stop for half an hour already! I swear!" He whined, raising his four fingers.
"It's only been 15 minutes, you're exaggerating." Kasamatsu said, reading the clipboard she had in hand, checking off a few things.
"It's only the first day of school! You're pushing us too hard!" He continued to complain.
"He must have a death wish." Kasamatsu thought.
"But I don't want last year to repeat again." She was silent.
"She has that faraway look again." Moriyama thought, so he changed the subject.
"Hey, isn't one of the Generation of Miracles coming here soon with the first years in a few minutes?" Moriyama said, just remembering this.
"Who cares, they're probably brats who thinks they're better than everyone else. It'll take time." Kasamatsu murmured, still fixing on the clipboard.
As if on cue, the door opened, revealing first years, carrying Kaijou's school bags, walking in, and chatting. Kasamatsu immediately knew that training them will be a headache, especially as the new captain.
Some look well built enough, but none has any significant features that would stand out in a crowd, like the Generations of Miracles in the basketball world.
"Go on, captain." Moriyama winked, and went to retrieve the other team members.
Kasamatsu sighed at this, took a deep breath, with her team behind her, and walked towards the first years.
"Single file!" She yelled, voice echoing the walls, and immediately shutting the first years up.
"They must be wondering why is there a girl's voice in the 'boys' basketball team." Kasamatsu's teammates all thought, but paid no mind to it, since their captain didn't seem to be bothered by it, instead, pleased, whether she thought it was from shock, or from fear, that the first years had all quieted down after, since truth to be told, she does have a booming voice, another trait of a good captain.
Just then, someone ran into the gym, panting. He has bright yellow hair.
"Am, am I late!?" He panicked, and, noticing the crowd, he looked over.
He saw the most beautiful eyes he ever saw.
And that's how it started.
