One-Shot: Sonic: Dr. Robotnik's New Machine
There he was again…
The blazing blue hedgehog everybody loves…
Fighting yet another one of Doctor Ivo Robotnik's line of faulty mechanical failures…
…So he thought.
Hovering above Sonic was Doctor Ivo Robotnik's latest design.
"Hahahahaha! I've got you now Sonic! Prepared to meet your doom!" cackles the nutty Robotnic as he closes in on Sonic in his latest creation: The Perfect Egg.
His Perfect Egg ship is a simple-designed egg-shaped metallic flying machine, but unbeknownst to Sonic it was indeed more than the eye could see.
"Yeah yeah, another pile of junk, Egggman, nice one," Sonic responds with a smile of confidence. "How many smashes will it take to blow it up this time? Ten instead of eight?" Sonic tauntingly speculates.
"Ha! You ignorant fool! This is no ordinary machine, but the ultimate impenetrable machine of mass destruction!" Doctor Ivo Robotnik tells Sonic, shaking his fists from within the enclosed hovering ship.
Sonic yawned, as he was not impressed one bit with what he saw.
"Oh, doubting my capabilities huh? Well allow me to let you in on some of the specs of my sweet machine! This baby has triple the shock absorbers of my other previous models, reinforced reflective bumpers to repel any of your dash attacks, carefully modified interface with vacuum sealed components to prevent outside contact from clogging up or disabling my engines, and finally a satellite laser system to shoot you down from space at my whim without the need of exposing myself to the outside!" Doctor Ivo Robotnik explains.
"Not bad, Eggman," Sonic comments, eyebrow risen at the distance his enemy has gone to improve his machines. "Just one question though…" he asks.
"What is it?" responds Doctor Ivo Robotnik.
"You mentioned that nothing can get inside your machine from the outside, right? So exactly how much air you got in there?" Sonic asks.
Doctor Ivo Robotnik's facial expression turned from confident to troubled as he realizes he forgot to install an oxygen mechanism inside his cockpit. He then begins to notice the oxygen level inside was plummeting rapidly.
"Damn it!" Doctor Ivo Robotnik yells as he slams his fists onto his control panel in frustration, short-circuiting it as it began to blow up from the inside, with no means of escape for the evil scientist.
"Good one…" Sonic says, clapping his hands, before turning around and zipping away. "Later Eggman!"
Doctor Ivo Robotnik's machine simply plops onto the ground out of the sky like a rock seconds later.
It would be a full hour before one of his robot assistance would come and haul his half-unconscious body out of the device.
