The Story Begins: Where's Tenten? Where's Temari?

Gaara looked out his window, deep in thought, when the Sand Ninja came in.

"You wanted to see us?" They asked.

"My sister…Temari, is missing. Find her bring her back…it's been three days already." Gaara said calmly, still looking out the window.

"Yes Sir!" They said, and disappeared.

"Errrrr….OW!" Naruto groaned in pain, as Sakura tied a bandage around a deep cut in his shoulder.

"Hold still!" Sakura commanded, obviously irritated.

Suddenly, Rock Lee burst in the burst asking worriedly, "Have either of you seen Tenten? She never returned from her mission…she was supposed to be back three days ago!"

"What?! Are you sure?" Sakura asked just as worriedly.

"Lady Hokage has already sent out search patrols!" Lee confirmed.

"What rank was her mission? What was she supposed to do?" Naruto asked.

"B Rank. I'm not sure what it was about…I know it involved some other ninja she was supposed to fight or capture or track or something, though." Rock Lee sighed. "It was near the Sand Village, and Lady Hokage already contacted the Kazekage there."

"Gaara? Well I don't think…" Naruto started uncertainly. "Well…I don't know, it just sounds suspicious to me!"

"Lee!" Gai-sensei appeared in a puff of smoke. "They found something!"

Rock Lee's face instantly brightened as he asked, "Really? Tell me Gai-sensei, tell me!"

"They found…………………………….." Gai paused dramatically, and tearfully. "Her ripped up Leaf headband!"

Rock Lee's face darkened even quicker, then asked, "What do you supposed happened?"

"Well…I'm pretty sure she was attacked…" Gai stated.

"Really?! Your sure?!" Rock Lee asked, astonished.

Sakura (anime sweat-drop), "Uh…yeah…obviously if her headband was ripped up!"

"It could've caught on a tree and ripped…" Naruto suggested.

"Kazekage-sama!" The Sand Ninja returned. "We have info that a Leaf Ninja has also disappeared, three days time!"

"Which ninja?" Gaara asked, not looking at the man.

"A Chuunin by the name of Tenten, my lord!" The Sand ninja bowed.

"Hmmmm….." Gaara said quietly, deep in thought. "Search for evadince of her too…maybe, if we find her, we'll find Temari."

"Yes, right away, my lord!" Then the ninja vanished.

Neji searched high and low with his Byakugan. He would not; could not; let her down, he will find her!

Then he spotted something on the ground…a stain on the grass.

He stopped, and crouched beside it, rubbing two fingers along the stain, then looking at his fingers, smelling the sticky stuff……blood.

Kankuro thought he heard something…a low, groaning sound…or a whimper?

The pushed aside a bush to see something that shocked him half to death.

"Good god…this is bad!" He muttered.

There lay two bodies…one he recognized as his sister, Temari, one he recognized as that girl…that Leaf Village girl…Tenten.

Both were bloody and beaten, bruised and cut, and very, very, pale.

"At least they're still alive…for now…" He muttered hoarsely.

Me: Did you like it? Should Tenten be with Neji or Kankuro, and should Temari be with Neji or alone?
