"Sirius, stop!" Remus said desperately.

"Only me? Okay, advance!" said person exclaimed, and two pre-teens came out from behind him and attacked Remus.

"You can't go! You promised you would help us do this prank!" One of the boys said. With the mope of black hair and the glasses, one would know that that was James Potter.

Remus's eyes widened. That was true, but he didn't thought they would plan the prank at the day of the full moon. That day was off-limits, but only certain people knew it. He was a monster, and his friends shouldn't see that part of him.

"Yeah, um, I just remembered that my mum is sick, I got to take care of her!" He tried to run, but realized he had some extra pounds attacked to his leg. He looked down, only to see that one of his new friends, Peter Pettigrew, was hugging his leg, and he wouldn't let go. He knew this was Peter's way to get something. He didn't use this with professors or girls, but only with them.

"Peter, sod off," He said tiredly. The moon was rising and he wasn't even in the infirmary. Sirius smiled, which meant he knew something, or that one would be subject of one of his pranks, which was bad. Now that Remus thought about it, both options were bad, but he wouldn't tell Sirius that.

"The prank, Remus! You promised!"

"Next time, I swear! I really have to go. I'm going to my house through the Floo an someone needs to supervise," He lied through his teeth. He didn't want to, but it was the only was to mask his condition.

Sirius scowled, James pouted, and Peter wasn't letting him go, so without another option, he let his wolf take semi-control, which wasn't difficult as the wolf was surfacing, and he let out a small growl.

Peter let off of his leg, suddenly scared. James opened and closed his mouth, showing obvious confusedness, and his eyes narrowed. He knew there was something wrong here, something more that Remus wasn't telling them.

Sirius just gasped. Raised in a family that took pride in knowing the Dark Arts, he knew most things about it. He was a fool for not noticing anything, really. He went away always at the day of the full moon. Remus was lanky and was clearly underweight, but he could probably even beat the Slytherin Prefect.

His bloody friend had been a werewolf, and he hadn't even suspected.

"Oh, bollocks," he gasped, and realized the situation. The full moon was rising, and Remus was still here. That was certainly a problem. "Let Remus go," he said wide-eyed.

Remus smiled at Sirius, and took off running.

"What was that mate? You can't just let Remus off!" James said, very annoyed. Remus was the mastermind behind their pranks, and they knew that without him, they would be a disaster.

Sirius didn't pride in his knowledge, but quick reasoning was one of his virtues. He didn't go around showing it, of course, but he was actually very intelligent. He rolled his eyes.

"You'll se tomorrow," He declared. "We are going to the infirmary,"

And with that, he took off to the Gryffindor Tower, leaving Peter and James to fend for themselves. He needed to think for the first time in months.

Before he reached the tower, he realized something; he had a werewolf as a friend! That was bloody awesome!

(Not that his parents would approve, but since when he did anything that his parents said?)
