Lelouch reached out for more grapes to eat. He has been lying on the fancy sofa for a while now; thinking of how their last demonic dance with Schneizel will be like but everytime he thought of a good way to end it, Nunnally's face had appeard before his eyes.
Maybe it was futile, he had to checkmate his brother along with his sisters to achieve what he was fighting for.
No! He had to clear himself of even the thought of hurting his beloved sister. She may be an enemy for the time being but his fight was for her sake in the beginning, wasn't it? How did it came down to this.
He ate some of the grapes he held in his hand, closing his eyes. He just wanted to clear his head of the the chaos, even only for a few minutes. Although it wasn't long before heh felt a hand holding his, a mouth taking the rest of the grapes from his hand and a tongue licking his finger to clean it.
"Suzaku..." He turned to face his knight.
"Lelouch" the knight said with a soft voice. He only called his first name when they were alone. "You haven't gone out in some time. Are you sure you are okay?"
"Yeah" he responded "Somehow. Suzaku let me ask you something. Should we proceed with our plan? Even if it means hurting... Nunnally." The knight sat before him without breaking the eye contact.
"The Black Knights and Schneizel are after our heads. We started a war with Black Knights just to bring Schneizel out. Now he has shown his face and he is using Nunnally to take you down. We have to defeat him before he causes any more damage."
"That's his check. He is forcing me to my limit, trying to eliminate me with my greatest weakness and win this game while destroying everything i created. He won't stop until he holds my head in his hands and he will continue with Black Knights. Afterall he is his child, too."
"We can't go back now. We can't hesitate, Lelouch." Suzaku leaned down to make sure Lelouch did not look away, that he understood their situation.
"I am aware of that. That's why..." Before the young emperor could finish his sentence the knight was already on top him, gently putting his lips on his. He was still staring at him for the first few seconds. Lelouch could not figure him out since his face was emotionless. It was the same ever since they got together. He was always by his side, supporting him, doing the dirty work, kissing him when he needed to get away from earth; just like that time.
"A kind world..." Lelouch said as he brake away from the kiss as much as he could. "It was for her." He put his hands between them to keep them separate.
"It still is. I know what you are capable of. You can get her back and you can take care of every other problem. All you need is to take a little break, right now."
"You are right. I'll find a way to save Nunnally and bring her back to the life she deserves." The knight nodded and smiled as he started to kiss Lelouch's neck. He held him close.
"Ah" he said coldly "You will save us all."
