Pikachu was humming to himself as he was walking around the seaside city of Hau'oli City, only to be squashed by Petey Piranha landing on him.

"Pika!" Pikachu called out in pain as he tried to squirm out, deciding to electrocute the mutated piranha plant as the electric attack caused all the lights to go off briefly... which didn't matter since it was daytime and the sun was bright.

"Petey, are you being stupid again?" Dry Bowser stated as he was wearing tropical clothing, with him placing his hands on his bony hips.
Petey chuckled nervously as Pikachu popped out, sighing as he shook his body to make himself feel better.

"Aww, so cute!" Toadette exclaimed as she dashed up to the Pikachu and hugged him tightly, squealing as she wiggled her hips. "Gosh, what I would give you have one as a pet!"

"Calm down, kid, or-" Dry Bowser couldn't finish, as Pikachu electrocuted both him and Toadette, with the two falling on the ground as they groaned in pain, the bony reptile breaking into a pile of bones. "...you'll get shocked."

"Can't... help it..." Toadette wheezed as she was completely covered in smoke.

Pikachu managed to wiggle out of Toadette's grasp, preparing to dash off as he turned around to take a glance at the trio, seeing Toadette fart as he shrugged and went back into the tall green grass... only to be attacked by the wild Alolan Pokemon, which was a bigger problem than he anticipated due to his electric type attacks not being strong enough to repel the other Pokemon. However, he was saved by Dry Bowser chucking several of his bones at the wild Pokemon, causing them to run off in fright as he approached the Pikachu, with Toadette and Petey behind him.

"Seems like you need some protection, little fellow." Dry Bowser said as he brushed back his red hair. "So... how about you come along with us while we take this city at a leisure pace?"

Pikachu sighed as he sighed, feeling relieved that Dry Bowser had more sense than the other two, with Toadette bouncing happily as Petey just laughed, the electricity from before not doing much to harm either one of them much, the group now heading westward.
