Hi I wrote this a few years ago for a English essay and only found it a few days ago. Thought you lot might like it.

Disclaimer: I don't own Anna Dressed In Blood but I wish I did.

Another Girl Another Ghost

The rotting gate creaked shut behind me as I gingerly stepped into the cemetery. The mist was crawling around the graves which were scattered along the crumbling ground. I couldn't see my hand in front of my face as I tried to make my way through the damp, grey forest that was the graveyard.

Rain dripped down my nose as I stopped in front of the looming house with its cracking paint which was a depressing grey after not being repainted in many years. The dead ivy creeper still attached to the toppling walls of the house was no longer a deep dark green but black and decaying as the many creatures that visited the cemetery at the dead of night could be seen from the cold, creaky porch in front of the house. There was a curtain of spider-webs between me and the drooping door each thread dripping with dew as the porch floorboards decided to crack under my shuffling feet.

I felt a sudden breeze hit the back of my neck as I was trying to open the jammed door of the dead church. As I turned to look over my shoulder there was a whisper of children's laughter on the wind and a certain tune I recognized from my childhood, I couldn't hear the words but as I looked across the graveyard my heart started to pound faster and faster as there by the rotting gate stood a figure. A young girl and she was mouthing something as she started down the path towards me. As she got closer I could hear her whispering voice echoing across the grounds.

"Ring around the rosy

This evil thing, it knows me

Lost ghosts surround me

I can't fall down."

It sent a violent shiver down my spine as she drifted closer and closer, repeating the same lines over and over. There was a rustling of a dress and I violently noticed what she was wearing; a pale white dress dripping blood along the ground behind her, the mist curling around her ankles and her black-brown hair whipping around her face in an invisible current. The girl had looked to be around seven years old by the gate but now when she was nearly at the house she was much older then I first thought, she looked to be around thirteen years old and just growing out of childhood. But there wasn't something right in the air. It felt disturbed, like she was not meant to be there.

I couldn't move. I was completely frozen in fear as she stepped on to the porch just in front of me. The wind in her hair slowed and she stood there looking at me with no expression on her face. Then I felt the hairs on the back of my neck lift as the air shifted around me and a great weight was lifted off my back and I panicked as my own hair floated around my head like a halo.

"Who are you?" I whispered listening to my question echo around the grounds.

"Me.. I'm Anna, Anna Dressed In Blood".

I knew they would be the last words I ever heard.

I tensed as the girl dripping in blood tilted her head to the side and suddenly her face stretched into a demonic smile as her hand gripped mine in a vice grip and dragged me back with her into the depths of insane hell.
