Chapter One

It was a normal day at the Uchiha household, Sakura doing the chores and Sarada, playing with her toys. As for papa Uchiha, he was still on the other side if the world, traveling.

This is what normal means in the Uchiha household.

Sakura Haruno – now an Uchiha – who used to talk like any other normal girl back in the academy, got used to the silence. Ino, her best friend thinks that Sasuke is the cause of it. She thinks that Sasuke turned her dear Forehead into a 'tsundere'.

We can't forget about our dear Sarada-chan. She's cute like any other baby girl, but her looks – at an early age – were really ladylike. Her large doe eyes, dark long eyelashes and her heart shaped face, made other women jealous, thinking how pretty she would be when she grows up.

People could easily point out the similarities between Sarada and Sasuke; like their looks, the way they talk -they barely talk- and of course their love for tomatoes.

Whereas people who were really close to them could point out the similarity between Sakura and Sarada; their heart shaped face, the shape of their eyes and most importantly their temper.

"Sarada-chan, wanna help mama in the garden?" Sakura asked as she pulled up her hair in a bun.

"Okay!" Sarada placed her toys on the floor and stood up.

"You know what to..."

"Pick the red ones, not the green ones because they are babies," Sarada continued her mother's oft-repeated sentence. Sarada was only four years old, but she knew more than any other kid her age.

After, plucking out the ripe tomatoes from their garden, they placed them in their woven straw basket. "Mama, can I have one?" Sarada asked, looking up at her mother who was busy pulling out weeds. "Go on, but only one."

Sarada took a tomato from the basket and ran to the kitchen.

"I feel like I'll be eating tomatoes for the rest of my life," Sakura sighed. Ever since she got married to Sasuke, she been eating tomatoes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Other people call that –boring.

"I'm back."

Sarada was washing her tomato when she heard her father's voice. Her eyes were twinkling in excitement as he heard his voice. She climbed down from her stool and ran to her father. "Papa. You're back!"

Sasuke crouched down and hugged his daughter. Sarada hugged her father tightly, not wanting to let him go. "Papa, we can share this!" Sarada said with huge grin, showing her father the tomato, "but you first!"

Sasuke smirked and took a huge bite of the tomato. "Papa, not that much!" she whined.

"But papa's hungry."

Sarada looked at her father then took his hand. He stood up and followed her to the kitchen.

"Sasuke-kun, you're back!" Sakura placed a kiss on her husband's cheek.

"Mama, no time for that. Papa's hungry," Sarada said as she slightly pushed her mother away. Sasuke chuckled while his wife giggled at their daughter's cute actions.

"Okay, okay. I'll prepare something for your dear papa," Sakura ruffled her daughter's hair and the later pouted in response.

After their short lunch, the small family of three sat in the living room. Sarada was playing with her stuffed toys, sitting close to Sasuke.

"Sasuke-kun, why don't you cut your hair? I bet it's a total hindrance when you fight. I mean come on! I have to tie up my own hair when I perform surgeries," Sakura went her fingers through her husband's hair.

"It's okay," Sasuke replied placing his hand on her wrists.

"You're so boring! I can't believe that I'm married to you. I would be really happy if you take out some of your spare time to cut your hair, "she crossed her arms followed by a frustrated sigh.

The two were so busy with their conversation that they forgot their own daughter who was in the same room – only a few centimeters away – listening to their conversation; attentively, thinking what she could do to make her mother happy.

Sasuke felt safe when he's with his family, with Sakura and Sarada. He was at peace, he never felt insecure whenever he was at home with the ones he love.

He never had nightmares like he used to. He had a family to look after. He can comeback back home, to ones he love. He's life was perfect. Not so soon...

The moonlight and the streetlamps were the only source of light. You can say that Konoha was at peace.

Everyone was asleep, tucked in their warm cozy beds.

Mama and papa Uchiha were sleeping peacefully in their bedroom and baby Uchiha…she wasn't in her bedroom, her bed was empty and the comforter was draped over the bed carelessly. Her parents didn't know that she wasn't in her room, sleeping. Then where is she?

Snipping of scissors can be heard from the main bedroom. Yes, their bedroom; Sasuke and Sakura Uchiha's.

"A little bit here...and," the four year old was really focused on snipping her father's hair and of course being careful at the same time,"done. Papa looks so pretty," she giggled and admired her own work. She blew out some of the hair which had fallen on her father's face.

"Mama will be so happy," she kissed her father's forehead, cleaned up the mess carefully and peeped out of the room. She made sure that they didn't feel her presence because it was a surprise for her mother and her oh-so-dear papa.

Sakura was the first one to wake up, she stretched a bit and sat on their bed for awhile then turned around to observe her husband's sleeping face...only to burst out laughing.

"Oh my god!" the matriarch covered her mouth with her hands, trying to suppress her laughter.

Sasuke woke up with a frown plastered on his face, "What?"

Sakura waved her hands frantically,"no-no-nothing!" her eyes were brimming with tears and her face was red from laughing too hard.

"You go and wash up first. I'll go and wake up Sarada," Sakura ushered her husband to the bathroom with a mischievous grin on her face. Poor Sasuke, he didn't notice that he was missing something.

Sakura took this chance to peep into her daughter's room; only to find her awake, sitting on the bed. "You're early?"

"Mama, did you like the present?" Sarada asked, her eyes filled with excitement. How could Sakura say 'no' to that?

"I came here to thank you for that wonderful gift. Come here, give your dear mama a hug!" she threw her arms around her daughter, while Sarada snuggled into her mother's warmth. She looked up from the hug and asked,"Does Papa like it?"

"He really really likes it. We're about to get the awesome feedback anytime..."

"SAKURA!"

Sakura giggled and poked her daughter's forehead,"now."

"It hurts!" Sarada rubbed her forehead with a pout. "Thanks to you, papa wouldn't be leaving us for – minimum, five months and maximum, a whole year," Sakura counted her fingers.

"Really?"

"Umm, really."

"SAKURA!"

'Cranky pants...'

Sarada always wanted to make her parents happy and she would do almost anything to do that. And she hates the fact that her father travels around the world for months. So, we can say that she hit two birds with one stone.

As for Sasuke Uchiha's hair, the four year old snipped away his bang, leaving his forehead...open. RIP to his bangs. His bang wasn't the only victim of Sarada's attack, some of his hair was extra short that it was standing up and some of them were the same, long.

If he goes out of the house like that, his Uchiha pride will be ruined – destroyed – and Naruto will haunt him to no end. His so called traveling-around-the-world thing has to be postponed all because of his hair.

And he made sure that – no matter where he is, he would never let his guard down and his home was no exception.

"Papa, do you like the haircut?" Sarada asked with her hands behind her back and a smile on her face.

Sakura walked out of the room, giggling to no end. While the bang-less Uchiha...muttered a,"Yes."

Mama Uchiha is happy, baby Uchiha is happy and even papa Uchiha is happy. What a perfect family? Everyone's happy. Sarada Uchiha can make anyone happy with just a pair of scissors.
