I'm not sure where exactly this belongs. It's a song lyric actually, which I have attempted to write in a certain style. In other words, I've attempted to duplicate the usual style in which the Partridge Family songs here. (I know that it's a little longer than their songs usually were.) Unfortunately, I'm no musical genius, and I can't set this to music. On the other hand, I was told by my friend that it would be possible--he just didn't want to write the music for me, and I can't write music.

Oh, and this lyric will be appearing in a fanfic that I'm working on called "San Pueblo High". Keith falls for a new girl named Cabe whose family moves to San Pueblo from Pennsylvania. She and Keith have a brief romance before Cabe's grandmother agrees to allow Cabe to stay in her house so that she meets the residency requirements for Penn State University, where Cabe wants to go to school. Keith tries desperately to persuade her to stay in San Pueblo and go to San Pueblo College with him. Ultimately, Cabe decides to return to her hometown in PA, and Keith last sees her driving off to the east in her convertible.

Dedicated to Tony Romeo
the songwriter who created "I Think I Love You"--the Partridge song that will not die.

What road, what road, what road
Can lead you home, and leave me behind?
What road, what road, what road,
Leads you to your dreams, and leaves me behind?

You wrote your grandmother a note
Asking to live with her this year
So you could follow a dream
You wanted to go to school
But you forgot to reckon
On your crazy heart

What road, what road, what road
Can lead you home, and leave me behind?
What road, what road, what road,
Leads you to your dreams, and leaves me behind?

I met you that first day in school
And I thought you might love me
Don't know what you thought
Told me so, you hate it here
And said you wanted home
So you went homeward bound.

What road, what road, what road
Can lead you home, and leave me behind?
What road, what road, what road,
Leads you to your dreams, and leaves me behind?

I stood up on the eastbound hill
And watched you fade from sight
All our dreams and lovin' plans
Crumbled in one dark night
I thought you'd stay with me
But I was wrong.

What road, what road, what road
Leads from your home to our destiny?
What road, what road, what road,
Will lead you back to me?
