Hello, this is my first KnB fic, so I hope that you all enjoy it. This just popped up in my head after I was searching for prompts, so I wrote it down. Any who, this is just a short, fluffy one-shot that I hope that ya'll enjoy!
Disclaimer: I do not own Kuroko no Basket
Kagami's POV
This is officially my worst birthday ever! I woke up late, was late to school, got in trouble for being late, got yelled at after class for being late, which made me late to basketball practice, so in return for being late I got triple training, and to top it all off, Kuroko, my boyfriend, wasn't feeling good and didn't come to school today. Not to mention that no one even remembered that it was my birthday today; not even Tatsuya or Alex! I'm just glad that today is over. I'm tired, hungry, and I just want to take a shower and go to bed.
Once I reached my apartment and went to unlock the door, I noticed that it was unlocked; which was strange, considering I always locked my door. When I walked in I noticed a pair of shoes placed neatly by the door and the smell of something baking.
I took off my shoes and quietly walked down the hallway to my kitchens to see who was in my apartment. Standing in the kitchen, pulling out a poorly made cake out of the oven, was Kuroko; who was in an old t-shirt of mine and wearing my apron with his horrible bed hair.
Kuroko, noticing me after he put the cake down, spoke. "Ah, welcome back Kagami-kun. I made you a birthday cake, since I wasn't able to spend the day with you."
"Baka, you didn't have to do that!" I said with fake exasperation.
"So Kagami-kun doesn't like it?" Kuroko asked with his puppy-dog eyes.
"That's not what I meant! Thank you for making me a cake, but you didn't have to. Especially not when you're still recovering from being sick," I replied, pulling him into a hug.
"Ah, but I wanted to make Kagami-kun a cake. I apologize that it doesn't look all that good though," He apologized while looking at the cake.
"Tch, what are you talking about? This is the best cake ever; and do you want to know why?"
Kuroko cutely nodded yes, his sky-blue locks bouncing as he did so.
I chuckled and responded. "Because you made it for me with love, that's why."
I couldn't help myself when he blushed like that. I swooped down and captured his petal pink lips in a sweet kiss. After I helped Kuroko ice the cake he agreed to stay the night; it was really late when we finished icing the cake, I wasn't going to let him walk home in the dark. I guess this birthday wasn't too bad, my most important person remembered, so that was all that mattered. Also, I got to eat cake and cuddle with my adorable boyfriend at the end of it all, and that's the best present I could have ever asked for.
Gah, the fluff! I nearly got cavities from writing this. I know that today isn't Kagami's birthday, but this was in my head, so I decided to write and post it. I hope that you all enjoyed it!
P.S. Feel free to leave a review; or constructive criticism if you think that this wasn't all that great, but don't be afraid to show some love!
