Tawni's POV:
I watched in amusement as Sonny stormed into our dressing room, slamming the door behind her. She had been doing this a lot lately.
"Let me guess," I stated absent mindedly, "Got in a fight with Chad?"
She huffed.
"I'll take that as a yes."
"He's such an egotistical jerk!" she scoffed, crossing her arms over her chest and then plopping herself into the chair at her vanity.
"You know, Chad wasn't always like that," I told her.
Her eyes perked up at the sound of that, "Seriously?"
"Seriously. I've known him since he was eight. We used to work together on a show for preschoolers. You know the one with the giant talking teddy bear?"
"Oh yeah, I used to watch that."
"Well, we were both one of those kids for a few years. Chad and I were actually pretty good friends. I used to play video games with him in his dressing room. He'd always win, but I still had a good time. I actually had a crush on him for a little bit."
"You liked Chad?" she asked, disbelieving. She seemed surprise but her eyes showed she was a little hurt.
"It was only for a couple months when we were ten. By the time I was eleven, I was over him. That's when we had to leave the show because we were too old. We kept in touch, though, hanging out every once in awhile.
"When we were fourteen we both got out big breaks. He started working on MacKenzie Falls and I found So Random. He stayed normal for the first year, but then the fame started to get to him. He told me he could only hang out with real actors."
"And so the feud began," she added.
"Exactly."
"Did you ever try and change him back?" she asked.
"A few times. He won't crack. Though he seems a little softer since you got here. But I'm not going to bother trying any more. My best friend Chad has turned into Chad Dylan Cooper, the Hollywood heartthrob slash secret jerk."
"You know, just because people change doesn't mean they can't change back, Tawni."
"You think if I didn't know that I would've tried so hard? He's gone, Sonny. There's nothing I can do."
EDIT 9/22/09: A/N: So I just saw the episode "Guess Who's Coming To Guest Star" with a scene that is almost an exact replica of this story. Just wanted to be clear, I wrote this way before I had even heard about this episode. You can check the publish date if you don't believe me. I had written minor things in SWAC fanfictions that appeared in an episode before, but never anything where ot was like they read my fanfic and then stuck it in the script. So sorry for the rant, I just didn't want to get accused for plagiarism. Thanks :D
