A/N: Here's a little introduction to Julienne Erika Lizardo-De Leon's character. Enjoy! ;) xx

Julienne Erika De Leon. The lone and rare Muggle Born Slytherin. That was what she believed herself to be for the past 15 years. She had thought Emmy and Jose De Leon, a squib and a muggle, were her real parents. That being the case, she had kept to herself all those years.

Salazar Slytherin was known to be particularly selective of the students sorted into his house. The house founder valued the qualities of cleverness, resourcefulness, and determination; qualities, Erika had had. But he had also believed in bloodline purity and supremacy, factors the Sorting Hat used mostly in sorting students in Slytherin.

Muggle borns were rarely sorted into the house and were usually looked down upon. It was because of this, that she had attempted suicide several times before. Especially when she had witnessed fellow Slytherin, Draco Malfoy, insult Hermione Granger, a Gryffindor Muggle Born, with the foul term, "Mudblood." That then made her keep up her gift of invisibility around other students, whom she knew would judge her by her blood status and last name; and reported to Professors for special lessons.

That all changed the day she found an old letter lying around in her father's study at the cold empty mansion. A letter written by an alleged pureblood witch.

Dearest Emmy and Jose,

I have entrusted you to take care of my daughter, Julienne Erika. Take her as your own and keep her safe. Amos Diggory is wonderful but I cannot bear to leave her with him and his new found hobby of travelling; not to mention his family. I have modified his memory so he will not come looking for her. It will hurt but it is for the best. She must find her own path.

Emmy, you know of my secret. I cannot stay in this world with my daughter forever, as fate has forbidden it. Give her my bangle to remember me by. It will also serve as her protection. Before the age 7, she should be sent to a special camp in America; but instead, keep her safe and send her to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry by the age of 10. The headmaster, Albus Dumbledore, will come for her personally.

It pains me so much to leave my little girl, but it must be done. I will watch over you, your family and of course Erika, always.

After reading this, Erika, in tears, had confronted her parents. She had always suspected that she was not related to them.

"How long did you plan on keeping this from me?" Erika cried out, holding up the old parchment that was her biological mother's letter.

"How in Merlin! Where did you find that child?" Emmy questioned, exchanging glances with Jose.

"Please, answer my question." Erika calmly stated imperatively. "When did you plan on telling me?" She asked, tears streaming down her face.

Neither Emmy nor Jose could give her a straight answer. It hurt her so much and left her determined to find her true identity. She wasn't a muggle born after all.
