Chapter 1
My name is Ariel Darkblade; I'm the niece of 2nd Lieutenant Riza Hawkeye of Central Headquarters. I live with her since I can remember. I pretty popular in Central; they call me a child prodigy, which I can't explain why. Oh, by the way I'm part vampire, well I thought that a week or so ago. This is my story.
The dark night seemed like morning to me as I meander through the streets of downtown Central. I could smelled were the hot dog stand had been only a few hours earlier. Cars pasted by me, but didn't stop to see if I needed anything. There kind stayed away from us. We rarely ever had any businesses with humans, well except for some who feed on them, which I would never do. The thought of it made me want to gag.
I knew that the forest had little to offer to me, as I passed by it. I was heading the Central Headquarters, to where my stash of blood that I was allowed to keep. Since my aunt's friend Colonel Mustang knew my little secret, he allowed me. I had gotten fond of him in the past years that I had been here.
I unlocked the door to the building, with no effort at all. There seemed to be some lights inside.
Seems like the Colonel is up late again, I thought as I made my way to the fridge. I opened it, to find two bags of blood hanging inside, nothing else. It would be funny to see someone go and put there lunch in the fridge to find bags of blood dangling. I chuckled at myself as the thought of one of Roy's men passing out because of it.
I downed the two bags and made a note to myself to go get more. That is when I heard footsteps behind me.
"Up for a midnight snack, eh Ariel?" Roy said sarcastically behind me. I just rolled my eyes.
"Sorry, Sir did I bother you?" I retorted, now looking him straight into his eyes, " I was about to leave," I said as I walked out of the door.
The night air was chilly, but it had no effect on me, what so ever. I was in black skinny jeans, and I black showy cami. I had always loved the night; I loved how the moon shone so bright in the sky, and how the stars were like the heavens. It must have been the vampire in me, which loved to stay up late and explore the town when every one was off in dream land, or it was just me. I loved my life and I wouldn't change it for a thing.
Authors Note: Hey, I rewrote the first chapter. I hope its better! Tell me! I don't own anything!
