Disclaimer. Is this what is going to happen? :0) ABC come after me for using their characters. Then Lucius of Apuleius who wrote about Cupid and Psyche before 200 AD comes after ABC for using HIS characters. Then the ancient Greeks come after Lucius for using THEIR characters. Then the gods smite the ancient Greeks for slander. Then, since time circles the Mortals in the Future who are going to use artificial intelligence technology to bring all fictional characters to life including the gods spank their gods for being so mean. Yeah, sure! Since Science will bring the Kingdom of Heaven/John's Cube to reality these confrontations are actually possible but opportunity plus ability does not equal motivation!
Cupid: Nature abhors a Vacuum. :0)

Claire gave Trevor a ride to the library on her way to the vacuum repair store. It needed a new belt.
Trevor was perfectly content to share the back seat with a mechanical appliance. After all both it and the gods were creations of Mortals and since it was a Kirby and he was a proud Olympian, both were fearfully and wonderfully made. He pointed to Old Faithful. "Better be careful wielding that thing! You know what they say!"
"What Trevor?" Despite the fact she was always supposed to listen to her Patients Claire was only half listening. Her mind was very wisely on traffic instead.
"Nature abhors a vacuum."
"Very funny!''
Trevor cheerfully chatted matter of factly, "Of course it isn't true. I know her, She loves a clean house just a much as most any other female and vacuums are such a convenience."
They came to a stoplight. Claire swung around and stared at Trevor who was giving her a poker faced grin. She sighed, "I can't tell if you are being serious, or not!'
Her mischievous Patient asked in a fake Viennese accent, "Vat do YOU theeenk?"
Claire shook her head, "I can't tell! Maybe you are trying to put one over on me again like that session where you insisted you were in contact with your own kind again. You knew darn well I thought you meant your family of Greek gods and since hearing voices is not a good sign I was wondering what treatment changes were going to have to be made and I was heart sick because I knew you would detest all of them and we would lose our therapeutic bond. But you meant fellow Greek Trekkers! You'd found a chat room and that was all. After spending the session worried sick about you I could have killed you!"
"Vat do YOU theeenk? His eyes were twinkling.
Then Trevor laughed.
Either way he was fooling her and he knew it. Claire sighed.
