A cute drabble about Ted and Nymphadora spending some time together. How exactly did Tonks get her first name? ;) Ted and Andy are my absolute favourite pairing in the Harry Potter. Like/review/follow if you are as bummed as me for this lovely couple not making the movies!
To be honest, how can you not appreciate this Black sister, for running away because she did not believe in her families morals? I think it was even harder considering she's a Slytherin.. oops enough shit chat...Enjoy!
Ted Tonks walked into the nursery room positively glowing as he greeted his newly born treasure. Cassiopeia Tonks lay awake in her cot, tiny fists and toes curled up. It was 2 in the afternoon and yet Andromeda was still sleeping- he grinned at the thought of his lazy wife then remembered that she was the one getting up almost every night when their daughter cried.
"Hello darling," Ted whispered gently, picking his daughter up, and cradling her. She giggled as she recognised her dad's voice; this lit up Ted's smile even brighter and bigger. He lifted the bottle full of formula and pressed it to his daughter's mouth; her little lips started moving in a chewing motion. Andromeda insisted that they get Cassiopeia used to the formula as well breast milk as soon as possible.
When Cassiopeia's face scrunched up in a tiny discomfort, Ted understood that she was full and put the bottle aside. The baby giggled up at him immediately.
He took his daughter into the living room and placed her on the sofa, and positioned himself next to her. Still holding her sides, he lowered his face and planted a wet kiss on her cheek, then the other one. This gained a positive outcome as the baby giggled again. He then lifted the hem of her t-shirt- a lovely pink t-shirt displaying the words 'I love mummy' in bright blue bubble writing- and blew a raspberry on her bare tummy. And he did it again, making an even louder noise. His angel responded with giggles again, and he raised his body to stare in awe and his and his wife's beautiful creation. As he gazed upon her face, he noticed pink hair atop her head. Bright bubble-gum pink hair. Before he even registered it, he screamed loudly in shock.
Five seconds later, Andromeda burst into the room, hair dishevelled, pure horror exposed on her face.
"Wha-Ted what's wrong!" At that instant she noticed her daughter's shockingly bright hair and her mouth gaped open. Ted chuckled at his wife. After a moment of composure, she stumbled out the words, "We-we have to rename her. Nymphadora. Nymphadora Cassiopeia Tonks."
