Oh, magical hedgehogs
Burning in the night
Worshipped by Cherokee and Minovian alike
We reach out to you
As you fly across the sky
So close, and yet so far away
Artemis watches as you launch into space
Under cover of the darkness, the only light from the glow of her face
Sometimes toward the land of the dead
Sometimes there to make a wish
Always burning and beautiful
A light in our lives we call a shooting star
Artificial fireworks have nothing on your natural beauty
Sometimes you land, hurtling towards Earth
Destroying evil monsters with your burning girth
Oh, hedgehog, we salute thee
For without your shining light
We could never see Zoё, twinkling at night
I did this during class because the teacher puts me to sleep. Don't blame me if it sucks/doesn't rhyme in most places. I wasn't going for rhyming. But there were some words that just felt... right. I don't know why. Also, my muse is... inaccessible at best, so whenever it visits, I write what it comes up with. That being said, it provided me with other stories... so there will be more to come.
Also, for those of you who came from deviantART, my stuff on there is crap. Random stuff. (There's a pattern emerging...) I can't find my camera right now, so I can't upload my stuff that sucks a little bit less.
It's a crossover (sort of) between Percy Jackson and Hedgehog Launch. Why? Why not? They both have an odd fascination with hedgehogs and how hedgehogs relate to stars.
Thanks for reading my random garbage.
