Launchpad walks to the limousine and gets inside.
After closing the door, he opens up the window to see Drake Mallard clearly, whom was walking away from the building they came out of. He lays his arm on the vehicle door.
"Hey, Drake pal!" Launchpad starts, catching his attention. "Do you need a ride back home?"
Drake scratches the back of his head. "Yeah, a ride would be nice."
"Hop right in then!" Launchpad says joyously.
Drake opens the back door and gets right in, closing the door behind him. He puts on his seat belt, buckles up, and lets himself relax. Launchpad looks in the rear-view mirror and backs the limousine up. As the car gets onto the street, he looks behind him and at his newfound friend.
"So where am I going?"
"Oh," Drake pulls out a map of Duckburg. "Right around this part of town."
He shows him where exactly, circling around that area. It was a part of Duckburg that's close to them, so Launchpad won't need to drive too far.
"Okay!" Launchpad looks ahead and starts driving.
Drake lays back and puts the map away. Launchpad turns the radio on and hums along with the song that's playing. Every little bit, Launchpad looks in the rear-view mirror to see how Drake was doing.
He makes a left turn. "So Drake," he starts, "are you free on the weekend?"
"Yeah of course, why?"
"I know we just met a bit ago, but do you wanna go out on a date?"
Drake looks at him in surprise. "Sure, sounds like a plan to me!" He answers without hesitation, despite being caught off guard by the question.
"Okay great! Have my phone number!" Launchpad reaches over to give him his phone number.
Drake gladly takes the piece of paper from his hands. His eyes begin to widen as he looks up ahead of them both. A car was up ahead, both vehicles coming closer and closer by the second. He quickly reaches over to the driver's wheel.
"Watch out!"
He grabs the wheel and turns it, moving them out of the way. The limousine comes real close to a tree close to the road and a few people, but luckily nobody got hurt. After that, Drake pulls himself back to his seat and droops down, breathing a tad heavily.
"How do you have your driver's license?!" Drake asks.
"I don't!" Launchpad replies enthusiastically.
Drake opens his mouth, but he closes his beak figuring it was better not to ask. In a few minutes, they get into the street that Drake lives in.
"That's my house right there." Drake points to his house.
Launchpad drives up to his house. He drives to the part of the street that was closest to his house. He steps on the breaks and ends up somewhat crashing into a car that's in front of them.
Drake comes close to putting his hand on his face, but he goes to unbuckle instead. He gets out of the car and waves as both a 'thank you' and a 'goodbye'. Launchpad waves back with a smile on his face and goes to drive off. He notices how the sun was about to set.
He has to get back before it gets completely dark.
A/N: Well I got to the episodes with my friend faster than I thought I would pfff- Man I really love these newer episodes. The whole entire time I was watching them all, it was just a big ol' roller-coaster of emotions and I dunno what to feel honestly ha. This newer episode, though, was definitely a good one and it's my new favorite episode, at least from this season anyways.
I didn't expect the episode to go the way it did, especially with Drake the fan guy, since usually fans aren't extremely important in episodes but man this just threw it all out the window. The twists were pretty good too, didn't see any of that coming and I'm pretty pleased with this episode. Afterwards though, the writer side of me was like "write some post episode launchwing write post episode launchwing wRITE POST EPISODE LAUNCHWING-" so I had to do it pfff- I mean it's short and it's alright, but hey I'm at least doing something ha.
