09/23/12 for CxB week Sept 23: Seasonal Sunday
The Farm in fall
It took some convincing but Clark managed to convince Brainy to come back to the past with him for a weekend at the farm. The seasons were changing from summer into fall, the air becoming crisp and leafs starting to fall.
The only field still in use was growing pumpkins for the upcoming Halloween season, already decently sized and waiting for children to come pick them out to carve them into Jack-O-Lanterns. If Clark was lucky maybe he could convince Brainy to carve one with him, he was curious as to what Brainy would design for a pumpkin's face. The idea of it being an equation made him chuckle.
Afterward Ma would bake some of the pumpkin seeds and perhaps make a pumpkin pie. Either one would be good to munch on in front of the fireplace later in the evening after dinner or maybe after Clark's folks had went to bed.
At the moment Clark was content to sit on the porch with Brainy, sipping hot drinks. The Coluan beside him was wearing one of Clark's old sweaters and though it was far too small for the Kryptonian now, it was still a little baggy for Brainy. Still it was rather cute to see Brainy holding his mug, only his finger tips visible at the end of the long sleeves
Some wind blew a few leafs onto the porch and made Brainy tuck some hair behind his ear to keep it from blowing into his face.
Unable to help himself Clark reach forward to tuck back more of Brainy's hair, really just an excuse to touch it, making Brainy turn towards him.
Their kiss tasted like apple cider.
