Once Every Month: Sasori/Tenten, Sequel to Once Every Week.

She is swamped with missions, and so she leaves but a simple note asking if they could make they're meetings less frequent.

He finds the note, let's a frown cross his face and nods.

She takes his lack of response as a yes and proceeds to only one a month.

Despite what she knows, he comes every week still, to see if she will show up.

Tenten only appears once a month, with a sure smile on her face and a small hug to her companion.

Sasori's almost non existent heart aches, or rather whatever part he has left does.

She doesn't notice, and when she leaves a quick kiss is planted on his cheek, as a goodbye.

His face burns all the way back to the hideout where he is quickly summoned by the Leader for a mission with his partner. They are going back to his home village, to capture the Ichibi.

Little does Tenten know, she assigned on the same mission. When the two face each other, he is sitting on Naruto's friend. She can do nothing but stare at the obvious disrespect.

Sasori's cold eyes stare back at her, but inside she sees an apology. Regret, and anger at his organization.

Silently, she prays, that she won't have to fight him. The weapons expert couldn't bare it if a bit of her silver projectiles marred his skin.

He is also very glad, when her sensei takes them away, leaving him fighting two women and Deidara against the Kyuubi.

One last glance, and she turns her head, she knows full well that she may not see him again.

The last words he says to Deidara are the location of their meeting place. The red head tells him to give the girl this note if he doesn't make it. The blond nods, and takes flight on his bird.

A month later, she walks slowly to their meeting. And she sees a figure much different then what expected. Deidara stands there, note in hand…head hung low.

His Danna is dead, and now he's been charged with telling her this.

Tears fall from Tenten's eyes and he hands her the note slowly before turning to walk away.

Dear Tenten

If you're reading this Deidara actually did his job. While, clearly I did not. I probably was defeated by my grandmother. I want you to know that…I loved you. I loved seeing you, and talking with you. You made me feel like a human, while I am obviously not. Tenten, you never judged…I was a puppet and yet it didn't seem to faze you. I got to smile, and to laugh when you sat near me. And I thank you…even though I was never satisfied with once a week or once a month. I have to say I'm grateful for those moments, for they were the best in my life.

Thank you Tenten, all my love, forever

Akasuna no Sasori.
