Spoiler alert for The Sea of Monsters
Thalia Grace looked into the mirror for the first time in years. She touched her face as if she couldn't believe it was real.
"Thalia?" She heard a voice call
"Hey Annabeth." Thalia said with a smile on her face. She still couldn't get over how much Annabeth had grown.
"What's up?" Thalia asked.
"Chiron is having a meting at the big house. To you know catch you up on what happened."
"Okay is Luke going to be there?"
Annabeth's face changed the smile left her face and her eyes started darkening.
"Come on lets go." She said without answering Thalia's question. But Thalia decided to ignore it.
When they got to the Big House everyone else was already there.
"Hey guys." Percy said as they walk in through the door.
Everyone else was in awe. They couldn't believe the legendary daughter of Zeus was once again alive.
"So," Chiron said as recovered from his moment of shock. "Thalia, my dear, I believe a lot has changed since you got turned into a tree."
Thalia nodded and didn't say anything. She looked around the room and asked, "Where's Luke?"
"Thalia," Chiron said with a sigh" That's what we have to talk to you about."
"Why is he alright?" She looked over to Annabeth, who refused to meet her eyes. Slowly one by one all the other campers left until it was Percy, Annabeth, Thalia, Grover and Chiron.
Chiron took a deep breath and looked toward, Grover, Percy and Annabeth for help. All of them stayed silent. Thalia's mind wandered towards Percy. He was a cool guy despite the fact that she already thought he was annoying and had only known him for around a day. She was dying to ask Annabeth what was going on between her and Percy, because there was definitely something, going on there anyone with eyes could see that. But she never got the chance to ask.
Finally Chiron took a deep breath and told her everything about what had happened. How Luke had gone on a quest and gotten a scar, how Zeus' master lightning bolt had been stolen last summer by him and how Ares had been manipulated into trying to start World War III between the Big Three (and failed thanks to a son on Poseidon and daughter of Athena. Not to mention a satyr) Then tried to poison Percy with a scorpion bite. Percy winced at that part, and Annabeth rolled her eyes. Then the following summer how Luke had poisoned her tree, and at the same time how that same satyr had been stuck on an island in the sea of monsters, and the same to demigods along with a Cyclops not to mention help from a certain daughter of Ares had rescued him and gotten the golden fleece back to cure her tree.
" But it did more than cure my tree. It healed me." Thalia said. "Excuse me" She said and then left.
"I'll go talk to her." Annabeth said
Annabeth followed Thalia deep into the forest. But didn't try to call out to her. Thalia sat down and it was only then Annabeth realized Thalia was crying.
"Luke," Thalia whispered softly " How could you do this to me? You promised me you would never hurt me, or leave me, or harm me physically or emotionally. You told me you would always stand by my side no matter what. You told me that you would me my family forever. But they were all just lies" You're a liar Luke Castellan, and I hate you not because of what you did, but because of all the promises you broke. I trusted you. "
Annabeth stayed silent and walked away knowing that Thalia wanted to be alone, when she was ready to talk she would. And Annabeth would be there. Thalia spent the next twenty minutes sobbing over all the broken promises Luke had made. Finally she calmed down long enough to say" Whoever did this to you is going to pay. Big time" And with that she tapped Aegis and went to sword practice. There was a war coming and she wouldn't miss it for the world.
