Disclaimer: I do not own American Girl or the Molly stories or movie, or any of the characters.
Okay, I know what you're thinking if any of you are my previous readers. Lizzie McGuire, and now American Girl? Yeah, I know it's weird. But this was a random ship that I got so I wrote for it and... You know.
Anyway, I've gotten into the habit of making long A/Ns, so I'm done, okay?
Here's my Emily/Tim story! (If you don't remember Tim, he's that really cute boy in the movie whose brothers were in England):
Emily Bennett sat down nervously, aware everybody was staring at her. Whispers like "The British girl is gonna do spelling?" and "Don't they spell things different over there?" caught her attention, but she ignored them. Searching for Molly's face, she saw that Molly was looking sulky about something. Maybe she still didn't want Emily to stay with her.
"Do they spell things different in England, Emily?" the question was voiced by Tim Rutledge. Emily glanced at him, noticing he didn't look as though she was from a different planet like everybody else did.
"Yeah, a little," she said, brushing her ginger hair back awkwardly. "You guys don't put a u after an o. The way you spell is weird," she added, giggling.
Tim laughed along with everyone else. He seemed really nice. Plus, he was cute. Emily blushed, turning away. It was time for spelling.
Finally, it was lunchtime. Emily followed Molly, Linda, and Susan numbly as they joined Tim at a table.
He seemed rather impressed to be sitting with her, she noticed. Of course, she was the new British girl and all that, but this seemed different somehow. She flashed a dazzling smile at him, and said sweetly, "You're a really good speller, Tim."
He smiled back. "Not as good as you," he insisted.
For some reason, Molly was scowling. Emily smiled reassuringly at her, then said to Tim, "Thanks, but I've been studying it for a long time."
Tim grinned. "It shows," he said encouragingly. "You didn't miss a single word."
Emily flushed, giggling. "Thank you," she managed to say. "That's really nice of you."
He winked at her. "You wanna know a secret?" he said, leaning in to her.
Emily leaned in. "What?"
"You're the prettiest and smartest girl in the school." Tim hardly seemed embarrassed. He just smiled easily.
Emily's eyes widened, and she giggled again. "You're kidding?" she whispered.
He grabbed her hand. "Nope."
Suddenly Emily felt almost magical. Like she could fly to the top of the school if she wanted. She was oblivious to Molly's furious scowl, to Linda and Susan's giggles, to the stares from all around the room. To everything, except Tim, as she flung her arms around him.
Did you like it? I really like how Molly's scowling ;)
I've already thanked everybody in my Lizzie McGuire story, so there isn't really anybody to thank.
I'll thank whoever reviews my stories in whatever my next story is. I know I say this everywhere, and I know it's getting old, but I've got to phase it out. Let's say if you review any of my stories between now and my next story, I'll thank you in that next story. Then I should probably be done with that. How about you review me if you want to?
Great, glad that's cleared up ;)
I'm gonna go now.
Linley :)
