He doesn't know how to get back.

Back to his friends, back to his family, back to the way things were.

But he does know one thing; he can never go back.

No matter how many times he wishes on shooting stars, or prays to all the gods he can remember,

no matter how much he aches, aches, aches to return and dreams, dreams, dreams of traveling back, he can't.

And he knows that. He can even accept that.

But he can't stop from wanting to go back.

And he thinks that maybe, just maybe, all his wishing and praying and aching and dreaming is caused by two little words that will

haunt him forever.

"What If?"

I don't know which marauder I wrote this about. It takes place after James and Lily's deaths. I think it fits Remus', Sirius', and Peter's point of view.
