It's come to my attention that when living in fairy tales there are some things that you should come to expect and prepare for to get your happily ever after; (whether that is marrying the gorgeous prince or not getting eaten by a wolf and therefore actually helping your sick grandma.) So here are my tips to you:

-To not get lost in the forest (and get eaten as a result, by some freak wolf or mentally disturbed kid-pie baking witch) STAY ON THE PATH! If you're too rebellious for this than at least bring something non-edible to make a path with. If you have some serious A.D.D. then carry some flowers with you and try to get distracted by those flowers, not the ones over by the hungry wolf.

-Wear shoes that actually fit. Seriously people, there are workers out there whose job is to make sure that your shoes won't fall off of you! However, if you like the idea of an entire army chasing you back to your house then I suggest you go two sizes too big, you know just in case.

-Don't piss off evil fairies and/or witches; they tend to hold grudges. Oh and they are also usually immortal and your descendents won't thank you for being the reason that they're cursed. Try to avoid stealing from your neighbor's vegetable patch and act like you're still in Kindergarten and invite everyone to your party.

-Stay away from the apples; there are other fruits in the world that are less likely to be poisoned.

-If you're a girl between the ages of fifteen and eighteen then don't go anywhere by yourself. Everyone you meet will either want to kill you or marry you (probably against your will).

-Also avoid anyone whose name sounds like a synonym for evil. Do I really have to elaborate?
